I didn't watch a minute of this game. Observations -

NSW fans were tweeting/facebooking/ranting about shit ref calls during the match. QLD fans were dead quiet, until post match when the wave of "7" etc posts came out.

NSW fans looking to blame the refs for their inability to Close out a game?

So it appears..... Actually think he's from the Phillipenes. Of course though, that's in Queensland

On replay, I though the NSW player just "let go" of the ball, but in all fairness it was an easy penalty to "milk" given that Thaiday blatantly had his hand on the ball during the whole tackle, and long after the tackle should have been completed.

Pretty shattered today and hung over as all fuck. Found it very annoying that NSW kept turning the ball back inside, they obviously thought their back rowerfest would dart around the big blokes but it was just sending little men into big blokes. With Hodges out wide I would've been playing down his corridor all night.

Epic game though, NSW could've won with some better planning. Don't think Stuart used his bench right at all, Tamou should've been on for Williams in the final 10-15.

Was also pretty dissapointed with the halves. Went missing in that second Half.

Loving Timmy Grant 6 hit ups for 60m and 27 tackles without miss. Weapon, should never have doubted him. Also thought the Morris boys were pretty good. Beau Scott is/was/always will be shit.

Dave Taylor flipping NSW the bird - WAG

I always used to think Jorris was just a turd, but he's been great for NSW... it's kinda hard to believe.

Definitely need less back rowers so Lewis and bird play more minutes.

We need to bring in Ballin for the bench or DCE.

MF, even though Tate got a facial and a high shot, he hit a defenseless bloke on the fucking ground. That's a sin bin and a penalty to NSW every day of the week.

Although Ricky Stuart has done heaps for this team and rebuilt origin to what it should be, his tactics, structure and how he utilizes players is so fucking poor. From early on Williams was fucking shit. Should have been pulled straight away, no point in hoping that he'll pull off some magical Williams line break or try, instead you get two proven performers on in Bird and Lewis.

Yep, Josh Morris silenced some critics during this series.

It sucks knowing there's no excuse to why we lost. That was the perfect game from both ends. Josh Morris holy fuck he had a blinder.

    Well done to QLD :(

Cbf reading the game thread and shit as I had to watch it delayed due to no internet so I'll just post here.

So fucking devastated at the result but fuck we played terribly. It was like we had a completely different team to game 2. The go forward was absolutely none existent. Obviously due to the lack of size. Last game we dominated the ruck, were getting out of our own end with ease and Queensland were on the back foot for a large portion of the match. This was the total opposite. It was honestly cringe worthy watching us coming out of our own half. Credit to QLD they were aggressive as fuck and tbh I think it surprised NSW a bit and they didn't have an answer for it what so ever. The only way we got up field was a stupid missed tackle by a QLDer or a penatly.

The halves took absolutely no control what so ever. Pearce was basically non existent other than kicking to the opposition on the full and Carney didn't do anything with the ball at all. Just kept trying that fucking bullshit one out back on the inside crap that lead us to no where.

Oh and seriously it is fucking Origin and we need to be telling the players that after a try is scored the most important thing is to complete the fucking set. How the fuck do you gain momentum, go forward, confidence...anything when you score a try and turn it over right after it. The one that pissed me off the most was when Tony Williams fucking ran up the blind side on 2nd tackle after a try 20 metres out. As far as I am concerned it is more than just a coconut being a retard. That comes down to the lack of direction from the halves or poor coaching.

I also don't understand why it took us so long to bring on Lewis? Especially since Creagh was out for most of the match and clearly everyone was working overtime to cover for him. I thought he made an instant positive impact that could have been used much earlier.

Well, he was always pulling back towards himself, it could hardly have been ruled a knock on.

I thought he was fine in the first two games. Game 3 he did fuck all but he didn't cost us what Thaiday did. He just shouldn't be used as a utility.

    What. The. Fuck?

So Jennings coming in and throwing a full-force, superman king hit to the back of Tate's head (meaning he was defenceless to stop it) is not worth a sin-bin cause that would be a "club call." But Tate throwing a short right to Bird's face whilst he too is defenceless, is worth a sin bin.

    GMAFB.

So since you thought the Jennings one was a sin bin, you agree Tate should have been binned?

    Cheers bra

My immediate reaction out of the game was just pure relief. There was no excitement, really. Then I was hopeful that the Australian selectors would see that Corey Parker played like a champ and give him motm so that I could win 2.5k.

Nah, totally disagree. Before he pulled it back in and had a good grasp of it, it was rested on Boyd. He in effect used Boyd to establish control of the ball. It comes back to my opinion on the knock-on rule. I don't, and never have, believed that you should be able to use either an opposition player, or the ground to maintain or establish possession (facing the opposition goal line of course).

This shot shows it I think. Both hands are on top of the ball, On the other side, the bottom, is Boyd's shoulder. Regardless of the fact that it looks as if he's pulling it towards him, for about a second, as the two players guided over the try line an into in the in-goal, the ball was rested on Boyd. He used Boyd to control the ball. That should be ruled a knock-on IMO.
