That wasn't exactly aimed at you, sorry. I didn't actually read your whole post, I was just having a general qld reply etc :p

Regardless of the lack of bombs, Inglis didn't try to force the miracle play and end up going over the sideline. Nor did he throw shitty passes that went to ground as Slater did. And, Inglis was far more dangerous tonight than what Slater was.

    No worries.

KK, I actually like Slater, okay. This is not coming from a Slater hater. I just don't like Billy's reliability, which is something I really value at the back. Slater is the most freakishly lethal player I have ever seen, but his brain freezes sometimes and it's just a case of rocks or diamonds. Last year he was diamonds. This year he was rocks.

    Harsh on Rocks IMO.

Have to agree, he was very much rocks, especially in game 1.

He's a Bulldogs fan, so no one cares.

That was probably the best game Inglis has played on his life. He was such a string bean when he debuted...

Just watching the second half again, I know he only missed 3 tackles but Jesus Christ, Tony Williams's defence was fucking abysmal. 3 doesn't seem like much but he only made 12. So he effectively tackled at 75% which is pretty poor given he wasn't out there for that long.

Luke Lewis put so much effort into getting back to back tackles.

I actually agree. The extra rubbish in matches like these doesn't suit a player like Slater, he needs a rolling forward pack to make his mark which Queensland didn't have in the first game. Inglis plays a much more physical game. He hits holes on the edges rather than hanging around the ruck like most fullbacks do, and that suits a game like tonight's no end.

(that said, Slater would have ripped up in that second half ;))

I don't think I've seen Smith shoulder charge in my life. He was an angry man.

  13. Magic AJ Parker

    80%*

The Daily Telegraph and it's readers are absolutely eviscerating Mitchell Pearce. He was rated a 5 for his performance. Over 70% of fans say he's played his last ever Origin. And there's two articles devoted almost entirely to putting shit on him.

    3/12 is 25%

    Therefore

    9/12 is 75%

lol, yeah. You know what I mean...Too happy to care about what would normally be an embarrassing mistake.

Nah, that's what I was thinking too. The equation is you divide the total number of tackles by the total number of tackles plus the misses.

    12 / 15 = 0.8 or 80%.

He made 12 tackles, missed 3, total tackles attempted is 15, 12/15 is 80%

Yea my bad, included the missed tackles in the tackle count >.>

Speaking of ratings, I'm certain whoever is responsible for those that end up on the FoxSports website don't watch the game. Gillett gets 6 for a knock-on and a shit bomb, whilst Thaiday got a 7 because he added "passion & vigour on the right edge"

Don't think I've ever seen them give anyone from either team less than a 6.
