    Fair enough. Guess we take pretty polar opposite views. Other than the halves and perhaps the back three, I don't really see how St. George challenge Brisbane. We have a much better middle-third rotation (something we've been struggling with since Petero's original departure) with Hannant, McGuire, Parker, Kennedy, Green and Lowrie, with perhaps Thaiday thrown in, and we have fringes containing superior second rowers, and superior centres.

    Even with Williams, whom I don't rate nearly as highly as a lot of others do, and Widdop, the Dragons will still struggle to score points IMO.

    Don't really know what to make of Price's coaching either.

    While I agree that Brisbane have a better middle third, I don't think you've really been struggling there. Nor do I think picking up mediocre players such as Kennedy and Lowrie would fix the problem if you had been.

    We've been playing Sam Thaiday out of position up front with Scott Anderson on the bench. Kennedy and Green mean that should never happen again.

    They'll also make a big difference when Thaiday, Gillett, Parker and possible Hannant are gone.

    I really don't get you sometimes when it comes to props. You think Thaiday's a decent prop but Kennedy and Lillyman are gash. I just don't get that.

    Kennedy has really struggled since coming back from his injury. Just doesn't make metres after contact and looks tentative when carrying the ball on the tough carries.

    I'm surprised you rate him so highly, he's a penalty magnet. I just don't get that...

    That's hardly surprising. And it's hardly relevant to what he'll be like after a full pre-season at the Broncos. Don't even know why you would bring this up. Rather stupid tbh.

    I don't rate him that highly. Just higher than you and EWS seem to.

    Fourex is the bloke that really rates him highly. And he does it on the back of never really actually watching him but arguing that he must be gun until he's blue in the face because he was 18th man for Queensland.

    I think Kennedy is a decent bench prop, but I also think we are paying too much for him (if the 350K a season reports are correct). He's a bit better than Dodds and Hala, but far from McGuire or Hannant's level. I think he must be licking his lips getting such a massive deal, since there was a very real chance he wasn't even going to be selected for the Roosters at full strength.

    He was really, really fucking good before the injury though. So much so that I rated him just about the most promising young prop in the comp. He really did struggle though, as you said.
