Nah mate, I already called dibs on that for the Sharks.

    Sigh.

Once, just once, I'd like to have a matchwinning plan that isn't pre-emptively ruined by dibs.

First (and one of the only) rule of Cricsim - don't ask when simming will be.

I'll let everyone know when it'll be. I can only fit it in when I have time, which isn't often. This is the next match though.

I wonder if I'll make an appearance from the bench...

Should be a fairly standard win first up.

should have margin betting, would make things interesting

There's a heavy dew here. The conditions are bound to be a little bit slippery.

Kick off from Sticky Phlegm. He's picked out his man, that's Sam Bakkum, but he takes it uncontested.

Bakkum to Graham, Graham to Devonshire. That's the first slip of the match, The ball slides through Devonshire's hands. Knock on. Scrum.

Crabs win their first Seasonal Rugby scrum and Phifteenplus goes on a run from the back. He's nailed by the energetic David Dafter after being slowed by Hutchinson.

The ref blows his whistle. An early warning for James McDougal here for coming in the ruck from the side.

Penalty taken by Phlegm. Line out 25m from the Sharks' line.

Throw from Volt Man. Not straight is the quick call.

Scrum for the Sharks. An easy push this one and good quick ball from Bakkum. Bakkum to Scoble. Good move on the cards here. Scoble cuts out Sam Graham and instead finds the running Sam Green.

Green bowls over Furball and is through the Crabs defensive line. Like a knife through butter. He beats Phlegm for pace and dots down under the posts.

    Scoble converts

    Sharks 7 - 0 Crabs

Good attacking moves from the Crabs, but too error prone. A great turnover won by Volt Man, who smashed Bakkum is relinquished by Ginger Furball attempting an overlap who is tackled by Sweetman but turned over by Verigotta.

A subsequent knock on gives the Crabs another go. A good run from Ryabovol gains 10m, but Volt Man loses the ball on a pick and go only 10m from the try line.

Another line break, another try. Sam Bakkum slices through the Crabs' defensive line again. Once more, the Crabs give away a huge amount of territory and concede a try on the counter. Their defence are being shown up badly here. Bakkum evades Phlegm and dots down half way between the posts and the corner.

    The reliable Scoble converts.

    Sharks 14 - 0 Crabs

Have the Crabs got anything they need to compete at this level?

Great start to the game. A try with my first touch of the ball for the Sharks.

Crabs win a very kickable penalty from 22m out, but Somerset misses to the left. He should really have got that one.
