Really devo seeing some die hard players leaving their clubs, mostly through their clubs chasing 'better' players. Graham, Jeynolds, Pearce to name a few. Really feels like it's cheapening the comp

What's this meme about Cronk being a tiny improvement on Pearce? Doesn't choke, kicks better, defends better, puts players into gaps just as well... I guess he can't match Pearce's running game - not everyone can have that little sidestep into a defender like Pearce can.

And secondly, why is everyone surprised in this situation? It's the Roosters, they are fucking corrupt and unethical as shit.

So where's Pearnis gonna end up?

Manly seems a bit of a strange choice with DCE there if he's got a problem playing under Cronk.

Blake Green apparently signing a 3 year deal with the Warriors, will amazingly be his 8th club.

    Parramatta
    Sharks
    Dogs
    Hull KR
    Wigan
    Melbourne
    Manly
    Warriors

Nah not really. DCE basically played five-eighth all year, and Manly don't also have Keary to worry about. Totally different situation IMO.

Pearce would actually be an excellent fit at Manly imo. He’s already maligned so he’d fit in well at the club everyone loves to hate. He’d also get less scrutiny than at the Roosters. Best thing that could happen to him is a full club season with no rep commitments at a club flying under the radar.

And I think he’d work well with DCE. They could form at great combination.

Yeah I'm not saying it wouldn't work, I actually think it's a good fit.

But I don't necessarily think Cronk-Pearce was a terrible fit either. Seemed as though Pearce had dramas with playing second fiddle, and I thought there'd still be an element of that with Dce

I don't think he'd have had so much of a problem with it if Keary didn't exist. I think he feels a bit slighted by it all, whereas he feels wanted by Manly. I don't think it's a second fiddle kind of drama with him.

Should go to Brisbane and play with Milf. Run the side and let Milf roam.

Leilani Latu set to be released to Gold Coast so Penrith can get Maloney's contact registered.

All of a sudden the deal doesn't look so good for Penrith anymore.

  12. AVA T Delonge

Maloney is such a retard/maybe a genius if he didn't want his 3rd party deal.

It was never a good deal for Penrith.

I think the only way they could even break even would be if they won a premiership while Maloney is there. Losing Moylan is absolutely massive. In five years time when Cleary and Moylan are established as the NSW halves combination and Queensland are getting smashed every year, Penrith will be wondering why on earth they let slip the chance to keep them together for the sake of a shit coach and a 31 old year.

So much this. I've said for ages that Moylan is one of the classiest decision makers in the game and they were building a squad to set Penrith up for a good 5 year window.

I'd love to find out exactly what went down. I respect Penrith for bringing so many local juniors into the comp, but this is the third monumental fuck up in the last 5~ years. It's a story that seems very familiar:

Fuck Luke Lewis off for butting heads with Cleary, only to fuck Cleary off. Now yet again we're sending our best local fan favourite junior off to Cronulla for butting heads with a coach who I can easily see no longer being at the helm in 1-2 seasons.

Given Moylan wanted out, I guess they had to get something, so I accepted that Maloney was a big downgrade, but you can only play the hand your dealt. Losing Latu would be too much. They'd be better off canning the whole deal and approaching Titans about a Moylan+Latu for Hayne trade.

I feel like Moses will be in the NSW side for the next 6 or 7 years, the fellatio going on about him reminds me of Pearce back then. Fittler being the Lebanese coach probably helps to get Moses his first game sooner than later.

  18. Toolman TR Man

Moses > Cleary. I've fallen off the Cleary bandwagon. He's not very creative. Some games literally all he has to offer is his bomb.

Gotta remember that Cleary has only just turned 20. He’s shown incredible ability and I would say maturity for someone that young. As has been the case for a decade now, the question is where will he be when his time comes? Will he blossom into the first genuine rep halfback NSW have produced since Johns or will he join the likes of Mullen, Pearce, Wallace etc. A lot depends on this young guy.

May as well scratch the Raiders for next season. Hodgson has done his ACL.
