I wouldnt play Tevez right. That would be a disaster, he is just not a winger.

1 formation I could see happening, is having Tevez playing off Ade with wingers and 2 holding players.

    Like this:

    Given
    Richards - Toure - DC - Bridge
    De Jong- Barry
    IReland/SWP - Robinho
    Tevez
    Ade

Not as a winger. No way. AS a footballer yes but never wide right.

The defence down the flanks are a massive problem imo. On too many occasions last season Richards and especially Bridge was isolated in a 2 on 1 situation due to having no support from the wingers not tracking back. It wasn’t so much a problem on the right due to SWP running up and down the field all day tracking back (Manchester derby he was awesome) and it would mostly just be Micah’s poor form that would get him beaten but I absolutely hated Robinho on the left wing just standing on the half way line once the ball got turned over (on many occasions by him), with the CM’s too busy in the middle to come across a massive space is created in front of Bridge just inviting the opposition to attack down there. I know Robbi doesn’t really know how to defend but he really needs to lift his workload and get back there and help out, he started to increase it towards the end of last season but he needs to put in more effort, especially with the money he’s being paid. I would personally prefer Petrov starting on the left as he’s a natural left winger and actually tracks back plus finally having a big lad to aim at in middle to be on the end of his sweet crosses could be lethal but mainly I am just a little anti-Robinho and a big fan of workhorse players.

haha, just shows what an idiot rafa is

Thats Gold. I don't know why Rafa hasnt been sacked yet tbh. He hasnt really done anything except in Europe.

His transfers are appauling, yes hes made some good signings, but anyone would know to bring players like Torres to the club.
He has no adventure with the way they play, and uses the same old tactic even if it doesnt work best for the players he's got, and if the situation demands soemthing more he waits too long to change.

He would be much better suited to one of the Italian/Spanish leagues IMO.

Woah, hold up. He has not had full control of transfers until this Summer. I hope you realise this? Rick Parry always made the transfers before.

He waits too long to change? Have you ever seen the same Liverpool team-sheet 3 weeks running? Rafa is famous for his rotation policy, and now he has this under control, it is one of his strengths.

Uses the same old tactic? Yes, because bringing a striker to play wide right, occasionally playing with two DMs, pushing Gerrard onto play with Torres occasionally, they are all the same tactics, aren't they.

Pretty sure he had some say in the decisions.

Lol Im not talking about between matches. Im talking about during the match. And a rotation policy isnt necesarily the best way of running things. It has advantages but also disadvantages.

Thats exactly my point. He puts the striker wide right because it fits his formation, he doesnt chage his formation to fit his players. Look at Fergie, how many times has Fergie changed United's playing style because of who theyv lost/got in.
He's already stated United ex Ronaldo won't play like they did the last few seasons.

Pretty sure he always plays with 2 DMs. Which IMO is part of his problem. He is too conservative for the PL.

How long did it take him to work out that was Gerrards best way. He only figured it out last season despite Gerrard saying, as well as every pundit under the sun.

You keep using occasionaly. Both those situations are the norm, and dont really change.

i am not doubting what he has won, not at all, but tbh its taken him 3 years to work out gerrards best position, he has made countless transfer disasters, and i tihnk he is a tosser....

It was on Sentana, an extra channel that you have to pay like 12 bucks a month for on foxtel.

Well I dont know how many people here could say, around 5 years ago Gerrard's best position is playing off the striker.

Not denying the transfer disasters, but look at what I presume will be close to our XI:

    ---------------------Reina------------------
    ---------------Carra------Skrtel/Agger-------
    --Johnson----------------------------Insua/Auerlio--
    ---------------Masch------------------------------
    -----------------------Aquiliani--------------------
    --Kuyt---------------------------------Riera/Babel--
    ---------------Gerrard-----------------------------
    -------------------------Torres--------------------

He has bought, 9 of those starting players to the club, he has basically rebuilt the whole first team squad.

Yes he has had some terrible transfers, ie Voronin, Padelli, Dossena, Morienties etc.

But he has still done a good job in terms of building us from a higher midtable team to a title contender.

He isn't the only manager in history to make some bad transfers, albeit a bit more then others.

And your last reason, I won't even go into it as it's not worth it.

Like that lineup Nova, Agger, Auerlio and Reira would start for mine

No, I said after 2000, because I was too ****ing young to understand shit before then. Didn't stop me from crawling around the floor with a United shirt on when I was a toddler you douchebag. You no absolutely nothing at all about me nor Manchester United, so how about you shut the **** up?

36 years without a trophy, not even we can match that.

  19. Magic AJ Parker

Even Leeds have won a premier league title... not even Man City can match that.
