I'm sure Man City have won one, just seeing if I could get a bit of a stir.

I was just pretty sure that neither of you had won the Premiership tbf. :p

Dirty cheating Michael Ballack and blind referee cost us the shield (not that it is too important honour). Michael Ballack has now gone above Drogba to number one in my least favourite footballers. He has provided years of unsporting behaviour for Chelsea.

Neither side have won the Premier League. Not even Liverpool have.

The First Division is another story, however. Leeds have won it three times and City twice.

Blackburn have won the premier league though. Manchester City and Liverpool are holding back Lancashire (the traditional Lancashire with mersyside ect in it, not the new shit lancashire where greater manchester and mersyside are in itself countys)

    and

    Agreed

Do you all think that the loss of van der sar in the squad made Manchester United loss the community shield match with Chelsea ???

lol @ the Man Utd fans saying a foul cost them the game.

It could easily have gone either way, and turned out that way.

  8. jeyshiva JS Shiva

    not about the foul:lol:
I was saying about the penalty shoot out.

  9. Eds E Ames

Yes, because I was blatently talking to you.

Although if Man Utd had VDS, then the penalty shoot-out could have easily swung Manure's way.

  10. Baxter MJ Deane

Not that Foster won an FA Cup for United on penalties or anything.

  11. Eds E Ames

Tbh VDS has far more experience and you need that in pen shootouts. He has saved United with pen saves plenty of times, and is a better keeper than Foster.

  12. jeyshiva JS Shiva

yeah, VDS is better than Foster but not good enough to equalise Petr Cech

  13. Baxter MJ Deane

Experience in penalty shoot outs isn't that imprtant tbh. More the ability to pick a side and get there quickly :p

United's problem in the shootout was more to do with their horrible penalty taking. Evra's was horrid.

Quite a few reports have suggested that Giggs' was worse on the basis that had Cech gone the other way Evra would've scored where as Giggs' was going to be saved no matter what.
    Not seen them myself.

Its not about Van Der Sar being beter than foster at penalty saving because in my opinion he isnt that much better. Ben Foster and Joe Hart are two of the better penalty keepers iv seen. Dont know why I had to mention joe hart but oh well.

Foster had a bad game throughout the entire thing. He was shakey from start to finish, everyone has a game like that. Was unlucky for him.

The foul would have turned things the other way eds, so whatever you said is nonsence. It was a blatent elbow to teh face, and as well as preventing the goal ballack should of been sent off.
Chelsea had a much stronger side from the start anyway, when I looked at the squads I assumed chelsea would nick it because we had a half team out (mostly not by choice obviously by injuries)

    Valencia > Park
    Anderson > Fletcher
    Vidic > Evans
    VDS > Foster
    Brown > O'shea

Yep the last 3 are from injuries as I said before but with them 5 on for their counterparts we would have won without the need for arguing about the free kick.
Apart from Lampards goal I had no idea he was on the field as well.

I disagree with that. Fletcher does so much work compared to Anderson, who I'm not saying is a bad player or that he doesn't work hard, which he does, it's just that Fletcher does it and more. Anderson is more skillful and more likely to create with his feet so in that sense he's a better player but when you've got Carrick who is a superb passer of the ball, Fletcher's extra work is more valued.

Only 4 clubs have ever won a Premier League title, Manchester United, Blackburn, Arsenal, Chelsea.
