Cheers to everyone in favour of this crackdown. Guess we'll have to start making penalty goals 1 point instead of 2.

The very same people who criticise the bunker and time wasting and lack of ball in play are the same idiots who are happy to see 25 penalties a game. Well here it is. Thanks very much for helping to reduce RL to the flow and predictability of Union.

The administrators who put this in place and those who support it should never be allowed anywhere near the laws of the game again. We've had more sin bins after 11 rounds than the entirety of last year. Every second kick is a bomb. Any tackle that remotely looks rough gets pulled up. The ruck is still a mess. Forward passes are still being thrown and missed on the regular. Players are walking off the mark more than ever. Lifting tackles and shoulder charges are a thing of the past.

Now they want to lower the interchange to bring fatigue back into footy. That's one way to do it. Or, you know, stop making the referee the focal point of our code.....

 

I just love seeing defenders get penalised for being 6 inches offside. And then the bloke who takes the kick for touch walking 5 fucking metres over his mark. It’s great.

 

Or defenders getting penalised during a play the ball when the one with the ball walks a mile off the mark yet he gets the penalty.

 

So angry. The one season I was kinda anticipating in the off season and the Cows give this shit. Jesus fucking christ.

Agreed. In the last 10 minutes, Souths should've been penalised for Cooper being hit off the ball. Taumalolo being molested by three tacklers on Souths' goal line. Tatola taking out Bolton on Reynolds's first drop goal attempt. Oh but we got the Granville one right so all good...

This is why I’m against the nit-picking penalty crackdown. You will find a penalty in every play if you want to. Souths only got the pen because Reynolds is such a shit cunt and missed (twice) from right in front anyway. If he kicks it, it goes into gp.
