Im one eyed so take it with a grain of salt but Napa in the bin seemed right to me. He made no genuine attempt to take Sims.just launched at him. Not saying he was attempting to knock Some out but it was intentionally not a tackle and it was clearly dangerous as the outcome proved.

 

He isn't trying to use his arms to tackle, they are flailing about and at most brush Sims after sims is already unconscious. He runs in like naruto and launched at Sims. No genuine attempt to tackle is made. It is the same fake tackle attempt that I've seen penalised a number of times, and that seems to me most effective at knocking people out or missing tackles completely.

 

I'll add however that I recognise my bias, and the comparative expertise of many on this forum.

 

He was going to ‘tackle’ by smashing him with a shoulder.
He would have touched him with a hand so he didn’t get penalised for a shoulder charge, but it was one.

I’m torn on whether it’s a penalty.
He went for a tackle and hit the bloke in the head, if he’d done it with his arm or his shoulder it’s a penalty.
If you tackle with your head is that the same?

It wasn’t him being in a tackle and accidentally knocking heads. He launched himself headfirst at a bloke.
It’s....I dunno, it’s weird.

 

Yeah all I'm saying in the end is that, I didn't think he did enough for me in terms of making an attempt to tackle, and it was clearly dangerous. I don't think he'll be playing next week, maybe not a sin bin, I was at the game so I was probably just caught up in the moment.
