    @EWS. True but with good reason imo. Not starting with your best 13 is the type of shit you can do all day long in the NRL. I think it has a very poor record of working in Origin though. You generally need your best out there for the fastest, most intense and pressurised 25-30 minutes of rugby league on the planet.

    Fittler’s trying to approach it like a game of cat and mouse but it can go south very quickly and the match can be won and lost before your subs can a get look in.

    Well Graham's only played 80 minutes this year. He's still not 100%, so the point is if he's that much better to justify picking him over Matterson who's been playing well all year.

    Massively this, especially when Peachey was in full flight back then. people longing for Daley are kidding themselves, still made the same/similar fuck ups we see now.


    I should really shut up about any thoughts on the teams given my piss all viewing of late, but Id wager that Wighton has been a better choice at centre than Morris for half a decade. That change is a gooden, especially given Wighton was otherwise on the bench.

    Dropping Latrell is insanity. I don't mind Finucane and Sims on the bench, I was whinging about a lack of props, but they are two that can actually do a job in the front row. I know F all of Saifiti and for how much I like J Turbo, he's pretty soft running the ball up. I don't know that there's room for him and Murray. I'd prefer Finucane starting at 13 for those early physical exchanges given Klemmer is out. I think we've missed a trick not picking an extra big hard running prop to get the most out of Cook.

    So NSW will probably be relying on their strong backs to get their sets started well, then use the more mobile pack off the back of that. QLD will definitely need to kick chase well.

    Wighton isn’t replacing Morris though. If they didn’t want Mitchell yeah that’s crazy but okay fine put Turbo in and keep Morris on the right for consistency. Replacing Mitchell with anyone but Trbojevic is absurd imo.

    Walker has a dead set shocker and I don't think it had much to do with the halfback. I don't really believe in dropping players from Origin after one shocker unless they were clearly dick-pulling yolo speculative picks to begin with, but if they were going to drop Latrell based on one shocker despite his great 2018 series then Walker definitely had to go too.
