Mm. Sort of irrelevant though isn't it because you'd still put Oates on the right if it came to that.

Among others, yes. It absolutely is his fault. He had more than enough time to get back to his wing. By the time the play actually begins, he's gone from a jog to a walk, then a sprint and it's too late. It's just a bit of inexperience on his part.

I think Boyd is better positionally, both in attack and defence and he's more reliable on kicks. I also think he's a better finisher too with better leg speed and acceleration.

Boyd has scored more origin tries and MF is a renowned attack junky

I wouldn't put Oates on the right, I'd still put Boyd on the right even if he'd never played there. How the fuck is he a better finisher? Have you not watched Oates with some of the put downs he has done? Boyds finishing generally involves catching it in open play, and trying to get it closer to the sticks.
His defence of Gagai makes it look that way. But really, he is just trying to cling to me being right as being a Bronco junkie, even when talking about 2 Broncos

Okay great. You also said you'd put Oates on the right if it was a choice between him and Gagai for one spot.

Yeah I've seen them. Very impressive. I don't think Boyd needs to be spectacular. Just reliably good at finding the line.

Even though I haven't mentioned his try tally once...

I don't know if you're playing dumb or you just are genuinely dumb. You're the only one on here saying Oates is the best winger in QLD, and would be better on the right wing than Gagai.

If it came down to a choice and that was my only option, I'd take Oates on the right. Yes I'm the only one saying Oates is QLD'S best winger, and you're the only one saying Boyd is. What's your point?

  6. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

    Of course you would.

  7. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Because he is a better winger than Gagai. You can call it Bronco bias, but it's pretty obvious to most Oates is one of, if not the best winger in the game.

It's tiring arguing with you, Gemmell, I'll tell you that much. Oates doesn't play right wing over Gagai ffs. Honestly. It's just the same old shit with you, every fucking year.

You find some Broncos player you like (Carroll, Gillett, Hodges), you overestimate their ability, make apologetics for their flaws, and we go round in fucking circles.

Will Oates even still be on the wing next year with Parker moving on?

  10. Julian BJ Taylor

Or will he try and stay there for one more year to try and claim a world cup spot?

I was going to post this - he was near best on field first game with 1 shoulder. By all accounts his recovery has been excellent so far If he can stay fit he's going to show you all.

I'm actually pretty interested to see what Bellamy is going to do next year with Munster & Slater. I can see Munster as a long term 5/8th; I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him slot in there next season, especially if Cronk re-signs as expected. Slater virtually plays as a running 5/8th nowadays as well - a roughie could be Munster at fullback and Slater in the halves. He still has that spastic cut out into row 12 in his game, but so does Maloney evidently so fuck it.

It's just left to right. He couldn't hit water, standing on a boat.

Right to left though, he's got a decent pass on him.

Why do you keep going back to Oates over Gagai? Oates takes left wing spot no matter what. Again, you aren't really putting forward any arguments other than"GEMMELL LIKES BRONCOS DEEERRRR" How about you argue the point, not the man.
He came out earlier this year saying that he has finally come to terms that he is a winger now. I reckon he will stay there for atleast 4-5 years.

  14. Magic AJ Parker

If Gillett shifts to lock next year probably a good chance Oates will shift into the second row anyway?

  15. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Could happen. I reckon we will promote a young back rower instead. Especially if the 3rd best winger is Maranta.

Aaron Woods is gona be one of those bald cunts with a ponytail.

I'm curious as to who will be given the captaincy if Farah goes to ESL.

  19. Cribbage RG Cribb

    It will be Woods.

NSWRL confirm Daley's deal will be honoured. He will be coach again next year.
