    Tough to say. He's had some injury trouble of late, but he was instrumental in City's 11/12 run. He's still the most important CB out of the 3 class players that City have at the position, but I'd rather have Nastasic than Kompany in my team when considering the future.

    It's no coincidence that City have struggled at times when he was out. It's not just his ability as a defender but also his huge influence as a captain.

    Yeah, you've just stated that he's horrifically overrated and then run away from the discussion because mouse questioned your claim, throwing a cheap shot at him for good measure.

    But you're right, you didn't explicitly state whether you thought mouse was wrong or not. I apologise for suggesting that you did.

    Yeah, that's pretty much it. I think he's overrated, nobody else does. That's part of me thinking he's overrated is that I rate him much much lower than everybody else. I realise and accept this and recognise I'm probably not going to chance anybody's mind. I appreciate him as a captain and that City are a better side with him in it, at least for the moment, but I don't think he's anywhere near as good as he's lauded to be.

    A lengthy debate to that effect where it's just me arguing against everybody else isn't interesting for anyone; including me. That's why I have no interest in discussing it.

    In the future, perhaps don't mention it at all if you're so keen not to discuss it? I mean, I can understand why you may have felt that stating that you feel horror at how highly people rate Kompany, and then accusing a questioning voice of bias may have been the best way to not discuss it, but I'm not sure it was you're best play this time.

    (a) I think it's entirely justified to say I find him overrated when people put him in their top 5s when I think he'd struggle to make my top 10.

    (b) It wasn't so much an accusation of bias as an observation. I'm not saying mouse rates Kompany higher because he's a Belgian, just that he's far more likely to defend him than he otherwise would be.
