Do you like saying centre three quarter all the time or something? How hard is it to simply just say centre? You said it but then you have to add the irrelevant bits to it as well!!
mate I can't remember but that right hand side has been an issue for ages. totally disagree with edrick in the centres and wighton on the wing.
that's the first time I remember saying it. i use the term three quarter frequently though because people seem to include fullbacks in 'outside backs' which I think is dumb.
this seems fucking crazy but I think wighton is in the mix for origin, mainly if there's an injury though.
Nice argument. Wighton is the better player but Lee is not a winger. Whighton is much more of one than Edrick is. Much, much more. Apart from that Whighton's positioning in defence is arse more often than it should be, when he's at centre. Oh and you overrate the cunt like it's going out of fashion.
I really couldn't disagree more. Even if you think Lee is a better player than Wighton or a better centre than Wighton, I think you'd have to play Wighton at centre anyway because you'd waste his passing game and ability to set up his outside man. It'd be a massive waste; it'd be like playing Lyon on the wing and Tate in the centres.
Yeah, it's not really like that at all. Lee is excellent at setting up his outside man. He's done it twice this year in his three games, even though he's playing wing. He's more than capable of laying on a try and did so routinely in the lower grades. The gap between them as wingers is a lot greater than the gap as centres IMO. I don't like Wighton's defence either. Positioning is not a small concern. Him and Earl is a horrendous pairing in defence.
Really good football in the lead up there. Thought Runciman blew it by not passing to the winger; probably would've against first grade standard defence.
