  2. crowley DA Crowley

Metropolis, Under The Milky Way, Almost With You, Unguarded Moment. All great songs.

  3. Fiery GR Smith

Yep. The Blurred Crusade is my favourite album of theirs tbh

Blurred Crusade I think you'll find. I went on a spending splurge after their concert and bought 4 or 5 albums and listened to them all for about the next week non stop.

  5. Fiery GR Smith

    Yeah typo.

  6. Fiery GR Smith

How long ago was the concert and where?

  7. crowley DA Crowley

About 7 years ago I think and it was at the Metro in Sydney. Small venue but was great to watch bands at.

TBF I'm pretty indie when it comes to music but I've only heard of Pavement (who are fucking awesome) Animal Collective (some absolute killer tracks) and Of Montreal (pretty cool).

Side note, I reckon Pavement would be close to my top ten. 4 of their songs are some of my absolute favourites and have been for years. Here, Spit on a Stranger, Shady Lane and Cut Your Hair.

EDIT- Meant to quote Rego's post about Rabbit Boys list.

If it's their personal top ten then I don't see the problem with it. Why do you even give a shit?

  10. the_killerz S Bakkum

Couldn't agree more. Gun Album and an amazing fucking song. Track 9 on the album :p.

  11. Old Mate M Perry

Yeah saw Okkervil there, was great.

    I

Being a sucker for storytelling albums (which is why I love The Chronicles of Solomon Quick by The Lucky Strikes and Stay Positive by The Hold Steady way more than I should), I gave it many listens. Was very disappointed, as everything sounded the same and it all just blended into one 80 minute long song.

I was 9 years old when it came out and Stadium Arcadium was my first ever record, and it was those softer songs on it such as Strip My Mind, Wet Sand, She Looks To Me etc. That opened up a world of music beyond the Drop D tuning, 3 chord pop punk bands such as Sum 41 and Good Charlotte that were plentiful in the early 2000's.

  13. Phlegm SP Phlegm

    1. Bad Religion-Recipe For Hate
    2. The Offspring-Smash
    3. Green Day-American Idiot
    4. The Red Hot Chilli Peppers-Californication
    5. Pink Floyd-The Wall
    6. Metallica-Ride The Lightning
    7. The Ramones-not sure, since I've only just gotten into them. Love them already though.
    8. Shihad-Self Titled
    9. Incubus (until recently)-Make Yourself
    10. Weezer-Blue Album

Lots of other bands could have made the last four spots. There's a lot of songs I like but no necessarily albums, which impacts on the band a bit. The Ramones rose above this because they rule.

  14. Bender BG Herd

    surely you'd rate dookie moar..

  15. Eggman DA Eggman

    Dookie was easily there best.

  16. Chewie JA Chewie

  17. Bender BG Herd

nearly had dookie on my list

  18. Eggman DA Eggman

In no order and not the top Bands of all time though. MF pretty much named that list.

    Arcade Fire - Funeral
Band of Horses - Everything All The Time
    Gorillaz - Demon Days
    Franz Ferdinand - Franz Ferdinand
    Led Zeppelin - IV
The Kooks - Inside In Inside Out
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Tender Prey
    Pink Floyd - The Wall
    Radiohead - OK Computer
R.E.M - Automatic for the People

  19. Tartmaster AJ James

IMO dookie had better songs but American Idiot is a better album.

  20. Phlegm SP Phlegm

It was close. If this was a top ten albums, both would make it.
