Its just a demo of one of our songs whichll be off our album. An album we will release right before we break up (we have our final show on the 26th of april). It's pretty great. In the last 6 months we have done most things ive wanted to do. Tour internationally, tour australia, support an international band, play in front of 10 people, play in front of 200 people. Release an EP, demo and single. Before our death we are doing an album, live album and video clip. Not much else a small band can do really.

Thread should be changed to "Your Top 10 Bands Of All Time" Tbh. Way too subjective.

Not actually a bad list at all, would happily listen to any of those albums, bar Abbey Road, never a big fan of that. Felt they got a little too much by then. Grew up on Sgt Peppers, would take Revolver, White Album (naturally) and Rubber Soul too. Please Please Me is sheer joy IMO as well.

As for Bee Gees, 1st is great, but I love Odessa. Completely indulgent, and could tell they were crackin up a bit. Lyrics start to get a bit dark too. Marley Purt Drive is up there with one of my favourites of theres (of course, its hard to discuss the Bee Gee's catelogue without everyone thinking of the 70s falsetto's over the 60s output).

Could take any Creedance album TBH. Think Cosmo does shade it though.

Because you all care, my selection of 10 best bands (and pick of the discs)

    1 - Pearl Jam Ten
2 - Guns N Roses Use Your Illusion II
3 - Velvet Underground Velvet Underground & Nico
    4 - Bee Gees Odessa
5 - The Beatles Sgt Peppers...
    6 - James Gold Mother
7 - Counting Crows August & Everything After
8 - Manic Street Preachers Everything Must Go
    9 - Bush Sixteen Stone
10 -Ocean Colour Scene Moseley Shoals

Could easily change every 5 minutes though. Over beared towards more modern bands than those who have spent 30-40 years building up a catelogue. Sure I might listen to more Kinks/Who than others, but not alway full albums, just collection of hits due which are helped by years of recording

Funnily miss Oasis off despite Definitly Maybe being one of my favourite albums, but only Be Here Now and Dig Out Your Soul have caught me as full albums since (Morning Glory ruins it all by having the wankstain that is Champagne Supernova on it)

Sixteen Stone was incredibly good, but I feel that anything Bush released after that was incredibly bad enough for them not to merit inclusion on an all time greats list.

I'm liking the new album TBH, and absolutely love Sixteen Stone, so I'm willing to forgive a decade and a half inbetween!

Though I've just looked at my shelf and realised I've missed off Green Day..... If I was going to select one of their albums, I'd throw you all a V and go for Warning.

The sounds of my heyday. Benson & Hedges and a six pack of Stella behind the multi-storey car park at Chelmsford Railway Station. The musty smell of age-old dosser urine. Making out with some cheap slag in some even cheaper white stilettos before heading down the Y to hear the latest sounds from Pulp, Marion and heaven forbid, Kula Shaker.

Was perusing the shelf thinking of bands, did notice K on there. Got to admit it did catch my eye. Luckily I don't have any CD's by Dodgy! (Free Peace Suite is hardly a classic though)

Born in 83, I was really finding my musical tastes between 94-96. Alot of my music influence comes from my sister (3 years older, and loved her indie - Pulp, James), an my best mates older brother, who he shared a room with, who was 6 years older than us and into his GnR, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Metallica, Manics etc. First album I really remember is having a taped copy of Dookie off him!

Then I had my Dads LPs, which were mainly 70s (T-Rex, Santana, Bowie, Mick Ronson, Queen, Alice Cooper). Feel I've had a decent schooling in music - shame I've picked up some of my own crap tastes on the way!

I really liked Dodgy back in about 1993. I was a Levellers man in the early 90s. Grebo ftw. Primal Scream dragged me out of that, then Britpop hit me hard.

  14. Phlegm SP Phlegm

I reckon Rise Against makes it in now, despite my dislike of their PETA support, and R.E.M. and Bikini Kill are well on their way. Losing My Religion is one of my favourite songs of all time.

My staple diet is really confined to the top four bands on here though, at least for now.
