The Lower League Football Thread

Was this in reference to my post? If so, I meant Sports Club. I've never heard the term "Soccer Club" used in the name of any football club although I suppose it might be used in the US.

I thought Sports Club was reasonably common. I'm fairly surprised that people haven't heard of it.

What division are Brighton in these days?

 

Lowly Stockport County fan here, doing terribly at the minute but we are better than we've been for a decade off the pitch, we believe in the Jim Gannon revolution!

I also support Wolves due to my Dad, however I would never support the Old Gold over County, also having lived in Canada for a short while I'm a 'supporter' of the Vancouver Whitecaps MLS team.

Don't get me started mate, we started well beating Alfreton and you guys but then didn't win for ages, then we had a great spell where we shot up the league and now we're on a bad run again, however we just need to be patient we're doing excellent off the pitch, we finally have our ground back and Jim Gannon has had to rebuild his squad with young, inexperienced lads and they are growing as footballers and we've not be overrun in any game yet, we've not embarrassed ourselves, I'm confident we can get an average midtable finish and eventually the behind the scenes stability will pay off!

I'll say to you though, I'm glad to see Grimsby doing well, they're one of the teams I felt bad seeing drop into the Conference, a proper football league club who we've had some great battles with down the years, again like us a victim of money ruling the game!
