Can't believe Penrith or the Bulldogs are gonna be in the GF. Gross. One thing's for sure, there wont be many points scored in that game.
No it really doesn't. The penalties are proportional. A kick dead is more dangerous because it enters the in-goal, hence the 20m restart as opposed to a scrum where the ball entered touch. Why do you need to doubly punish a kick that goes dead? It cannot be on the grounds of "negative" football. For one thing, the laws of the game currently incentivise kicking it out of play with the introduction of 40/20. I don't hear many of the supporters of the 7 tackle rule saying we should get rid of the 40/20. Nah, cause 40/20's are cool to watch. The fact that you can potentially get the ball back doesn't mean it's not negative football. It's still taking the ball deliberately out of play.
I think the punishment for kicking the ball dead is now more proportional than it was and as a result we're seeing far more balance in options taken on 5th tackle. Teams still play for forced drop outs but it's no where near as prominent as it was and IMO that's a good thing. I've enjoyed the variety. Anyway I've already agreed to disagree on this, don't want another nit-picking argument over it tbh. My opinion is pretty clear.
Not really sure how it's a nit-picking argument. I'll agree to disagree too but this is not nit-pickery. It's a drastic difference in stances on proportion with regard to a very important aspect of the game. The implications, as we saw again tonight, are huge. It's the difference between getting in range for a field goal, and not.
Oh I get it. You and MF are bum fuck buddies yeah? Your boyfriend says i'd make the game AFL which makes no sense either and you jump on mine. Don't worry, I have no interest in him he's all yours.
As I told Nodd a few days ago, I wasn't using "cunt" in the pejorative sense, as in "you're a cunt." Everybody around here calls everybody else "cunt." It's just a colloquialism. Urban Dictionary - It has almost replaced the word 'mate', often used in Australia to refer to people in a conversation when they can't be bothered trying to remember your name. Surely this information is not new to you? Don't get so offended.
Haha yeh 'cunts' in that context is definitely being used in a derogative term, not as a substitute for "mate". Gotta have some thicker skin though, MF will never concede trust me.
Er no, it's a substitute for "people" in that case. I think I know what I meant better than you. There was no malice in it whatsoever. Didn't even think twice about it. There's nothing to concede. He's just mistaken. You, on the other hand, should know better given how long you've been around here.
