So let me guess, most of you think Manly will win/Manly are better?? Please, come in and express how you still think the Roosters aren't going to win the title and that teams who have demonstrated not even 1/6th of what the Roosters have this year are still better because.. of previous years (lol). RIP Manly
This is the game CricSim was calling for. Could still be the grand final which would be legendary. Manly have by far the better side on paper; that's not even close AFAIC. However I'm not a fan of Toovey's coaching and I think that, despite having a lot of finals experience now, they're actually a bit mentally soft in big games under Toovs. Totally different side despite having largely the same roster.
You simply cannot write Manly off. On paper, with Watmough and Stewart back, they are a real danger team. I expect Easts to win at home, but I won't be surprised if the Sea Eagles get up. JWH not being there is also a huge blow. I'd probably change my tip now that he's out.
JWH will be a big blow. Kennedy and LOD come back in but they'll both be down on match fitness. If we do win we'll have our full side available with JWH & Cordner back for the major semi barring more susoensions or injuries, it'll be a massive win if so.
Can't remember but didn't Manly have a lot of trouble with the Roosters? I seem to remember the Roosters rolling straight through the middle of them? Or am i thinking of someone else? In saying that, you can't underestimate the finals experience that Manly have. Manly, in a tight one.
Roosters have played them twice and dominated them twice. To Manly's credit they always stuck it with them but they were always playing from behind and looked set to lose the match from the beginning. Manly are going to have to hope for a scrappy game because otherwise they're done for, I doubt they'll even stick it with them this time.
All of you are saying Melbourne/Manly are the finals experienced teams. I guarantee the Roosters lift the tempo more than any other in the two semis.
True. Doesn't change the fact that Manly and Melbourne have more finals experience though. Manly and Melbourne can definately go up another gear.
I think finals experience is more about not buckling under pressure than being able to go up another gear.
They'd have to go up another gear to match it with the Roosters, who will most likely go up a gear or half a gear themselves.
