Fuck that was intense. That second half felt like like 5 hours. The 2 week break is crucial for us. Need to get Moa right & hopefully get JWH & Cordner back. We really struggled to get forward tonight. First team in the history of the game to have 6 clean sheets in a season.
Well, Manly can blame themselves for losing that. 4 line breaks to 0 and 600 more running metres. Easts didn't even defend particularly well. Manly just aren't the same without Stewart. I'll be surprised if they beat Cronulla if he doesn't play. 16 errors doesn't help either.
It reminded me of the 2011 Decider. I'll give your side credit for defending well on their own line, but mid-field, your defence was shit.
"Didn't defend particularly well" That'll fucking do me. Didn't attack well... Yeh fair enough Didn't make yards well... Yeh fair enough Didn't defend well... lol alright champ
I'm pretty sure Cribb has hacked MFs account because he was upset with the lack of debate in this thread and needs to light the fire for the rest of the finals series. Surely no one who watched the game could think the Roosters "Didn't defend particularly well". Actually nah I take that back Sonic Star probably would. Yeh I just went there MF deal with it
Why don't you just come out and say what you actually mean. If your team holds the opposition to nil, it follows axiomatically that you must've defended well, regardless of whatever else happened. I don't believe that's true. Your side conceded more running metres than Melbourne did when Manly beat them by 20. In fact you conceded more running metres than any side has since Newcastle beat Brisbane in Rd21. It's also the highest missed tackle count for Easts in any game they have played this year. Given that you didn't concede a try, I think it's fair to say that that reaffirms my point. Your goal line defence was quite good. And your mid-field defence was shit. You conceded four line breaks in the same spot (I don't think that says anything about right vs left either. If you put Lyon on the other side I think he'd tead SKD a new arsehole too.)
Of course it was, they were missing Hargreaves and Moa, they shouldn't have won. You could see the absolutely substantial difference those two make when Moa was forced to come back on and his few straight runs saved several sets. Their whole game is based on the massive roll on those two provide. So instead the rest of the nufties in the team were constantly getting dominated and were far too exhausted that they couldn't even maintain a kick chase and Manly kept getting on the front foot from the first two tackles before the defence was even set and ready to try and muscle up. You could put the 14 best defenders in the game with Kennedy, Napa and O'Donnell getting dominated like they were and they would not have done a better job. And credit where it's due, SKD was forced into several decision-making scenarios and was up against Matai one on one a few times and did surprisingly really well, he had a few small mistakes but they were all covered easily. Manly definitely were targeting both edges just like Souths tried to, and both times SKD and RTS have shown them up.
Don't be ridiculous. Lyon is the best club centre in the world. Matai is an overrated hack. Lyon would've made SKD look tenth rate.
I think I've watched about 3 Roosters games since July. I apologise for trolling you a bit Magic. All in good fun.
