    Intelligent people don't need to prove their intelligence. All I've seen from you is the classic symptoms of pseudo-intelligence. Why say something in 10 words when you can say it just as well in three words? Why use a word that has four syllables when saying a word with two syllables will convey the same meaning and be more widely understood by the people you are aiming the message at?

    Do you and your Last Man Standing buddies just communicate through grunts and filthy looks over who got the last piece of fried chicken?

    Or was that the bloke with the pink singlet?

    Considering that you interpret brevity as a sign of intelligence, I'm not surprised. I won't make any assumptions on your character as I don't know you well enough.

    Why should one use a long word when a short one will suffice* (I suppose that should be "do" rather than "suffice", right?) And therein lies my point. It is tedious, banal and disinteresting to write with conventionality and deference as principal.

    AWChews tbh. Being concise and to the point is vital in communication. Can only echo what he said with regards to using 3 words rather than 10 words. Also, the comment with "do" rather than "suffice" is silly tbh :p don't think he means words like suffice, which are widely intelligible.

    Indeed. Most of it is unbearable but if you frequent, as I do, videos about say, the Spanish revolution or documentaries about George Orwell, there are genuine, honest and lucid arguments to be had. Go to a video about the Cronulla riots and you come across a mix of pluralistic and humanist views mingled with the most pernicious and disgusting bigotry and racism in Western society. It's a bit of a lucky dip, really.
