    Went to the game. Nothing beats Leichhardt Oval, shame they had the game at night.

    Fonua is a beast. Finally Nofoaluma played well. Sue stood up big time to Taumalolo, Liddle is a gun. Benji running the ball was great, Benji kicking early not so much.

    Amazing he never beat us in Sydney.

    Nothing but respect for Thurston though. Shame it's the last time I'll ever watch him live - one of the best I've watched.

    Yeah I always feared the Cowboys playing Wests at Leichhardt or even Campbelltown. They just never, ever seemed to be able to win there.

    It's going to be unreal if they actually bring the interchange down from 8 to 6 next year.

    At the very least we'll actually see ball playing locks back into the game and the position won't be used for a third prop anymore.

    I think the error in the first set pretty much summed up the Cowboys this year. One minute they look complacent and disinterested, the next they’re trying way too hard and looking for things that aren’t there or low percentage. The roster is excellent; they don’t need to change it. But their style in attack is completely stale and predictable. Green had better do something soon.

    Reckon you'll see more chance of the defensive lock return, someone like a Shaun Fensom who has the capacity to make a huge tackle count, play 80 minutes taking workload off the rest of the forward pack.

    Most clubs would probably just run with 3 man benches and forego the utility role.

    Or just rort the shit out of the concussion ruling.

    I still think you'd run with a prop at lock, but one that offers a bit of ball playing and consistently play 60 or so mins.

    Jake Trbojevic is the perfect lock.

    With exception to ONeill and Winterstein I'm good with the roster. Need reliable and faster on that side who can actually finish off tries in set plays and don't make so many dumb reads in defence.

    I think you'll be looking at getting your lock to play 80. Jurbo's value in this instance will be unquestionable. I think it opens the door for players like a Jack Bird to really start to excel in that role.
