    Storm vs Broncos prelim 1
    Easts vs Sharks prelim 2

    Storm vs Easts GF

    Storm premiers

Broncos might not get through but whoever does will get raped by Melbourne. Sharks can definitely beat Easts if they play to potential but they've been way down on last year.

    imo.

that's basically everyone's prediction, it's very predictable. only doubt is whether eels beat sharks

Has there been a less exciting finals series in recent memory? This is what it must have felt like during St George's 11 straight.

I was confident we would win the comp in 2013 and 2015 and was hopeful in 2014 but I can't remember ever finishing so high and feeling so down on our chances of taking the title. Can only imagine what the fans of the 6 sides below us feel.

I feel like if we played Melbourne 10 times we'd only beat them once or twice. That's about as hopeful as I'll get this year. Just gotta get them on the right day.

Pretty much guaranteed to be wrong then, lol.

Easts are overs imo. They will not be at all happy with that effort against the Titans and they get Tupou and Napa back. Oh and Guerra if that means anything. lol

where'd you get tupou coming back from? the broncos side is tiny compared to the roosters, they're not going to win a night game in sydney against them. the loss of mccullough will be demonstrated big time in this game, they're just gonna start rolling right through the middle after the early exchanges.

Just DT. Named on extended bench, word is he'll come in for Manu.

Sharks gorne lol. Fucking impossible to pick these days.

Eels should have beaten the Storm, they were robbed IMO. Roosters throw more forward passes than anyone else in the comp too - Jake Friend makes Buderus look like someone who didn't even know you could throw the ball forward, it's unbelievable... and Broncos were the only ones who got call up for it twice.

Parramatta benefitted from Melbourne's lack of patience. The Storm were totally dominant early on. Better execution and they lead by 14-18 after 25 minutes. It was one of the most bizarre Melbourne performances so I'm not reading too much into this dishevelled performance.

So refreshing to see important matches decided by bizarre refereeing decisions.

And what a fuck up to have manly-Penrith and Sharks-Cowboys played at the sfs. Pathetic attendances, robbed better sides of genuine home ground advantage and made for a shocking look on tv. We're dealt 15,400 and 16,000, in what would have surely been sell outs in the low 20k's at brooky and Shark park. Total shambles.

The only reason the Eels competed was because of that sin binning imo, not only the tries but the momentum it generated for them. Melbourne probably would've stayed in control and ground them down.

Can't remember two prelims with such heavy favourites. Storm 1.30, Roosters 1.35.

  14. GYR DW Lewis

Yeah in 2013 the Roosters were $1.40 to win the prelim against Newcastle and Souths were the same to beat Manly. Doesn't happen often though

    Kinda crazy.

    Along with the Warriors, yeh.

Skewed by cap cheating imo and not just Melbourne.:p

  19. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Matt Scott a chance? lol surely not.

Mind games surely. I could see them naming Thurston if they got past the Roosters as well.
