So City take 27 of their next 33.

Arsenal 23 of their next 27 (had draws against City and Chelsea and winning everything else, lol, yeah, nah).

Cardiff get one point in their next 8 games and Fulham pick up 4. Hmmm.

Might need redoing nearer the time.

Trying to decide whether I prefer Rosicky's goal on the weekend to the one he scored against Spuds in the FA Cup. His goal on the weekend was immense but his FA Cup goal has the sheer humiliation factor to it.

I reckon Van Ginkel would be good for the role next to Matic once he fully recovers from injury.

Someone needs to explain the whole "You'll Never Walk Alone" thing to me and why it's so popular. There's obviously some history behind it that i'm unaware of (and cbf'ed googling). As an outsider to it all i've heard the song, the chants, the saying etc and I must say i'm not a fan of it in the slightest. I mean, i've seen a video of when Liverpool played in Australia last year and 95,000 people sang it in the stadium which I thought was cool but any chant/song sang by 95,000 in unity sounds awesome as far as i'm concerned.

A few clubs just picked it up when Gerry and the Pacemakers released it, but given they were a Liverpool band it pretty much became recognised as their song. Birmingham City sing it iirc, and obviously Celtic are pretty famous for it too but yeah

That being said it was a cover by Gerry so I could have this all wrong

Edit - Apparently Shankly hand picked it

I don't get how you can not even enjoy it, even if you don't understand the history? Absolutely mesmerizing.

It's not just sung in unity, it's about unity.

I'd hardly call it mesmerising. Each to their own I guess. Just don't see what all the fuss is over it. Terribly over-rated imo.

He's a Chelsea(or at least he used to be, he may have changed again though) fan so he's just taking the piss.

I've never changed teams since I started following the sport. And no, I'm not taking the piss. It's got nothing to do with who I support or what team the song mainly uses the song. I just don't rate it.

It's the one thing about Liverpool I actually like. Kinda wish we had a song like that

yeah agree with blunder. tingles on the back of my neck when its all sung in unison before a huge game. love it.

Aye something to do with them approaching Shankly in the 60's before it was recorded or something along them lines.

United have sang it. I remember watching a black and white video of it. There was a story knocking about ages ago about it being belted out after the Munich disaster.

Shankly offered United half his reserve squad after the disaster and to pay their wages. Perhaps that was the reason?

Maybe, I don't know... it's certainly not associated with us in anyway now and I still feel dirty if I find myself singing along. Can understand why we would sing it after something like that mind, its just a great song for those kind of things.

It is. Bradford had it going as well in 85.

It's not done too badly in football for a show tune.

Shankly was Huddersfield manager at the time, so that's a pretty tenuous link if true.
