Trying to get tickets for the Sheff United Hull semi. Best mate's a United fan and his brother lives in London so it should be a pretty sick day if I can go.
They got everything they deserved. 2 shots on target is fucking rubbish. Arsenal scored early and comfortably kept Spurs at arm's length. All this with an entire midfield missing as well (no Ramsey, Wilshere, Özil or Walcott). Not bad stuff, if Chelsea ground out that sort of result with an entire midfield missing then the media would be fapping over Mourinho's tactical genius.
None of it is really that stupid though. Some it even applies now, even though a lot of it doesn't because, strangely enough, times change.
It was stupid at the time and looks ridiculous now. The absolute worst you'll get from me is me predicting Liverpool wouldn't finish top 4, which was largely based on a belief that Man Utd wouldn't fall from grace as spectacularly as they have. Actually maybe over-estimating Moyes is as stupid.
cause 3 shots on target is awesome? you won because of a rosicky worldie. sat very deep for the rest of the game. yes oxlade missed a glorious chance but look at some of the positions spurs got in. chadli missed an easy easy chance. they dominated the game. safe to say (as a neutral) i was spectacularly disappointed with that performance today. yes i grant you you have a few injuries but even still.
Yeah but when you're 1-0 up the onus isn't on you to be the proactive side and take the game to the opposition. Most of Arsenal's success this year has been based upon being resolute at the back and being able to see out results which is what happened today. Spurs with their high line were always going to give us enough of a sniff without really having to worry. Football isn't about getting in positions, it's about scoring goals, winning games and gaining points. This is coming from an Arsenal fan who over the last 8 years has watched us dominate so many games which we failed to win. A performance like today is much preferred to the days of old and 65% possession 1-1 draws.
Very disappointed with the result against Villa but I feel it's been coming for a while. I've lost track of the amount of times we've been mediocre in the first half before blitzing teams in the second and was only thinking to myself before the game that it's only a matter of time before we get punished for our rather poor starts. Thought the Willian second yellow/red card was complete horseshit. Too see him cop a red card for barely touching a player when so many worse incidents go unpunished altogether is frustrating. Ramirew red card was fully deserved. Terrible tackle. Thought nothing of it until I saw the replay.
