Doesn't help that Ian Ayre is advising them as well...

More bothered about selling shirts in Asia and America than running the club, amazed he wasn't given the boot as well.

We have no one at the club who knows how to run a football club, exciting times.

I said what mouse said as soon as he was sacked, there pretty much has to be a highly regarded manager already lined up straight away to be implemented within a week or FSG will lose the fans backing. Something they've had the whole time while in charge, you can see what happens when you lose the liverpool fans backing with hicks and gilett...

    Played it incredibly poorly.

Well I've got serious doubts over FSG now. They've handled this situation so poorly.

  4. Furball G Furball

It doesn't look great but surely taking their time to appoint the right man is a better way of doing things? The last thing they want is to rush in and appoint a manager who'll squander £100m on absolute rubbish in the transfer market, lead the team to 8th and sack him this time next year.

They surely should've had their main target after sacking Kenny instead of around 12 managers?

I know its not that simple to employ a new manager but have your main aim, target them and if you can't get them, move on to the next target...

Sacking Kenny must have meant they had someone in mind to replace him.

It's like when you apply for a job. You narrow it down BEFORE the interviews. To wanna speak to 12 managers is a disgrace. 3 maximum in my opinion.

So it's May 30, and people wanted a manager appointed within a couple of weeks of the season finishing? Yeah, nah.

I agree with Furball, FSG are actually going about this the right way, I'd much rather take our time in appointing a manager then rushing into an appointment, just to please the fans.

Big problem is, the loudest Liverpool fans either want Rafa or Kenny back, idiotic.

    I agree.

I'll judge them after they've selected the manager.

I'd have much preferred it if we had a shortlist of one and aimed for that guy then a shortlist of 12, where its seems FSG don't have a clue who they want...

If you sack a manager then it would make sense to know who you want to replace him...

If that manager rejects you then take stock and look for the next best one.

i said ages ago it might turn into a wolves situation.

    Liverpool relegated?

It's not that bad just because the season is over with. If we had sacked Kenny halfway through the season and then didn't act quick enough to find a replacement, I'd be more pissed then I am now

I just prefer for FSG to have a clue on how to run a football club...

Might come off as a cunt now but I do have serious doubts over them.

And how are FSG showing they don't have a clue? Dare I say a lot of teams interview multiple managers, but it's only news because it's off-season and nothing to report.

FSG have been superb thus far afaic.

Not a reported 12, where its a beauty contest

I just think they've got the club on the cheap and happy with a quick buck. What happened with HG they were going to be welcomed with open arms by all Liverpool fans.

Happily be proven wrong about the quick buck to be honest.

Rightly or wrongly I'm still bitter and upset with the sacking of Kenny. Probably clouding my judgement over them...

Still think Ian Ayre is lucky to have a job

I don't see how it's a beauty contest, they are obviously interested in quite a few managers and want to hear what each of them do. It's their first proper managerial appointment, and it's the biggest one in years for the club, they want to get it right. I don't see what's wrong with that?

Kenny deserved to be sacked. If any other manager had spent the money he had and had been so bad, they would of got the sack as well, in fact I daresay most Liverpool fans would demand the manager be sacked if it wasn't Kenny. Yes ok it's a long term project, but the team was so, so poor for big parts of the season, and there were a number of times, Kenny just flatout got the tactics wrong, including in the FA Cup Final.

My only hope is they don't appoint Rafa as new manager, would be the biggest facepalm in history, then when he got the bullet a lot of Liverpool fans would complain about that as well.

    Sums it up nicely.

I'm actually glad they are taking the time to interview several managers rather than just appointing the first bloke that walks in the door.

FSG have been sensational at promoting Liverpool as a brand in America and I hope they stick around for quite awhile.

Sounds like Rodgers is the guy.

Well at least if Liverpool are going to lose they'll look good doing so. :p
