Didn't feel like a very dominant half by Canterbury at all. Certainly not one that would suggest this sort of scoreline. Nothing like the Cowboys and Broncos last night. Melbourne just haven't arrived yet. For all the talk we hear about their structured play, their mentality is terrible. It's totally lacking in patience and temperament. There's no building of pressure or maintenance of field position. Everything looks rushed and too many risks being taken early in tackle counts.
How was that not dominant? Canterbury were rolling over them and making half breaks all over the place in attack, and completely dominated them in defence.
Yeah I don't think they, Canterbury, were in fact rolling over Melbourne. The advantage in field position that the Dogs had was largely afforded by errors. Like I said, to me this is not really at all like the Cowboys vs Broncos last night in which we saw the same scoreline, and saw the Cowboys just rolling up-field every set.
Yeh agree with this. Cantebury are all over them in every facet of the game. That's is the definition of dominance.
We made more running Metres from less runs than the Cowboys did in their first half according to nrlstats
The video ref is only allowed to rule on high tackles that are worthy of being put on report for a reason. It'd be nice if we had a little more faith in the rule makers, so sick of the stoppages we have in play waiting for the video ref to check if everything is ok.
Sure, if Fonua takes the tackle it's not brought into question, but he wasn't. There's no arguement here at all.
