Agreed. First the clean-up and then the vision and execution of the kick.

    Had a great game.

Tackle on Inglis was pretty good though...

Bout the only good thing he did all night.

Yeah, but then he just lied on the ground didn't stand up at marker at all and was partially responsible for Smith diving over.

The last thing NSW needed was HT. Had the game gone on for another 10 minutes, I think NSW may well have got within a try by the end of the half which would've been utterly misrepresentative of the match.

Nah not really. If you watch the vision again it's not that he laid on the ground. He got up. But he ran back into a fullbacks position - In the in-goal. Which is understandable considering it was last tackle and he needed to be back there to cover a kick. The problem is actually indicative of a systematic marker problem. If you watch the play before when Inglis nearly scores, the gap is created because Gasnier comes in on Thurston who was allowed to run unopposed - This was because both Gidley and Watmough went exactly the same way, very eagerly to the left, from marker. And exactly the same thing happened in the next play as this picture shows.

They both go to the left side of the man playing the ball and Smith scores on their right. Mini's not even in the shot. He's back in the in-goal.

Playing Watmough at lock is epic fail.

Don't think you can blame Mini for that one but it's good to hear you rip into somebody for a change. :fap:

Oh and another poor call IMO was when Yow Yeh took the ball on the full in the in-goal. How was that not a penalty? He was trying to get a quick 20m optional restart and Gidley just wouldn't let him go. I agree Thaiday needs to pull his head in but Gidley was the one who instigated the problem by hanging on and refusing to let go well after the referee had blown the whistle.

He went at Lockyer's legs. Clearly you don't care about leg injuries though, scumbag.:tongue_002:

    This.

As EWS said, I would like to see a consistent crack down on this but pulling one out of your arse at that time is just ridiculous. Happens every second game ffs.

Reckon there will be a huge amount of those called up now as well.

Clearly you can. Happens every year and the majority of the time it's always two specific players - Watmough and Thaiday.

It's unbelievable how many people write comments to this video saying it was Hodges's fault. Hodges is a dickhead but clearly Watmough starts it by pushing defenders.

I always laugh when I see the cunt push Lockyer. Couldn't get to Hodges so he just pushes the closest cunt to him. What a fuckarse.

No doubt Watmough was being a dickhead there, but I personally see it a bit differently when the tackle is completed and the cunt is just trying to clear the ruck. A lot different IMO to the driving we see to get players over the line or out of the in-goal, which annoys me no end.

Obviously Queensland were unlucky in a way to have that try denied because it happens all the time, but if it starts a crackdown on it then that's gun IMO.

I don't see it as any different. In fact I even said at the time, if it had happened in the field of play there's no way it would've been penalised. Thurston was helping push his pigs forward all night, often making contact with NSW players. It's all the same afaic. It's not union. You can't grab tacklers even if the tackle is finished and you're trying to clear the ruck. Referee's job.

It's not as common as people make out, you can push your player over, as long as your not pushing or pulling on defenders.

Personally, I think the only time you should be able to touch a ball carrier or a tackler is when your team mate is being driven backwards. I think you ought to be allowed to help him then but any other time nah.

Which performance(s) do we think was worst?

    Steve Turner - Game 2, 2008. David Williams - Game 2 and 3, 2009. Anthony Minichiello - Game 3, 2011.

I'm fine with it, as long as it's not going for a try. I think you should have to get over the line and put it down, not have cunts pushing you and forcing it for you.

Easily Minichello, it's not even a contest.

  19. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

    Why only for a try?

I think you should have to get over the advantage line.

I don't agree with it there either.

I don't really agree with it anywhere tbh, but I don't really care that much when cunts are just trying to clear the ruck. If it was penalised then as well, then I'd still be happy.
