Thought Hayne was really good. In attack he was awesome and in defence he was sound. Was pretty easy though considering he had Hodges to cover who's a shunt. Playing at centre allows us to use his boot too.
Mannah came off in the 19th minute, so Stuart just never put him back on. What the fuck is the point of playing with 16 players for 60 minutes ffs.
Stuart played Mannah for like 19 mins and Galloway for 11. WTF is that about? In the 160 mins played by props, your two players who actually play the position at club level, combine for 30/160. Disgraceful rotation.
I just notice how watmough likes running sideways Galloway played pretty good for the time he was on. Kurt gidley played pretty shit.
I don't know wtf Inglis was doing in defence all night. Thurston had to cover Gasnier about 3 times thanks to Inglis's poor positional play. Even for Bird's try, after the big break, and QLD were only just getting back onside, there was absolutely no reason for him to rush in-field on Uate who was running sideways.
Strange game last night, Mini had an absolute shocker and Gidley came up with some terrible decisions. Oddly NSW had their best field position in the 3rd quarter of the match and came up with no points in it which is a bit of a bad sign. I was pretty impressed by NSW's enterprising play and moving the ball around early, definitely tested the Queensland defence. Queensland were just too much of a class act in that opening 25, NSW were looking really good in the first 5 minutes the Brett Morris knock on really seemed to take the wind out of their sales early, he holds that ball or it's called a strip and play on it's a totally different match.
I don't really have a problem with that, Stuart obviously has a plan and I've got to say I think it works. Just lacks class in key positions, Pearce kick out on the full, Morris knock on etc.
Deadset we have picked the shittest front row ever. And sadly it cost TLL the season and a chance in the Australian side. Qld too good though. Well and truly a class above. Hayne needed to be moved to fullback at 12 or 18 - 0.
