I've heard we wanted Defoe a couple of years ago when he 1st left Spurs. Can't see him coming now that he's 1st choice with Keane that's another reason why Bent will be going this summer. Johnson was ok at Crystal Palace when he scored i think 18/19 goals but half of them was penalties but imo not good enough to replace Torres when injured. Defoe yes Johnson No
I've always liked Bent but the problem was when we was rumoured to sign him (before he joined Spurs) was he was going to be our main CF. IMO he not that good to be the main CF who is going to score the goals what Torres has acheived. IMO very good backup player and like you've already stated 14 EPL goals is good and he doesn't always start games.
He'l probably play the same for Liverpool as he would at Tottenham, plus CL... very good move for him, and Liverpool. Can see it happening tbh.
it all depends on how much he will cost. I wouldn't want to pay more than 10 million for him because we still need to buy a new RB and LW hopefully these are Johnson and Silva. I still think Babel could still do a very good job has back up for Torres but it looks like he's on his way out
But out of Babel and Bent i would rather keep Babel. He's younger and has the ability to be world class. I can't see us getting 12 million for Babel. 8 million is more likely but i don't get why we would see him for 8 million when we brought him for 10/11 million. Doesn't make sense because he has improved whilst at Liverpool. Also he has a great impact from the sub bench. I believe he has the 2nd most goals from a Liverpool player coming off the bench
You shouldn't sell him for that tbh. I heard you were selling him for transfer funds, thats not enough to buy anyone decent tbh. In other news, Ireland signs new contract at City.
good news for City fans he has been their best player this season yeah we're selling a few players for transfer funds. Dossena and Lucas looks like they're going. Then i think it will be out of Riera and Babel to hopefully make room for Silva
Doubt you'll get Silva... would be great for you if you did... doubt it though. More likely to go to United if anywhere in EPL.
Burnley chairman Barry Kilby has revealed manager Owen Coyle is on the verge of agreeing a two-year contract extension at Turf Moor. full story on the link below http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/burnley/8072736.stm I know Celtic are a bigger club than Burnley but the EPL is bigger than the Scotish league. Imo it will be a mistake for him to leave after just getting promoted with them
Not trying to sound big headed but most Spanish players will pick Liverpool over Utd because we have alot of Spanish players and we have Rafa who is respected alot in Spain. We been rumoured to get him for a few months now, Rafa came out and talked about him and even said we was going to make a offer until Valencia told the media and Rafa rejected the talks. I think he will be back in for him in the summer

Have to wait and see... United would be the best move for him in terms of success though IMO. Can't see him coming to England though.
It more than likely he will get more sucess at Utd but would SAF buy him when he now looks set on playing Rooney on the LW and you have Nani as well. Can't see Rooney, Ronaldo, Berba, Tevez and Silva in the same team. it work work even if you don't buy Tevez
Ofc it will work if Tevez leaves... United are one of the only teams that do play 2 strikers. Silva and ROnaldo on the wings. Rooney and Berbatov up front. Nani has barely played all season.
that would be some front 4! I just can't see Silva going to Utd but hasn't Rooney being playing as a LW for the past few months so Ronaldo can play more has a CF
I know but he's still a UTD player and 2bf on him he is still young. can't see SAF selling him in the summer so that's why i can't see SAF buying another LW
Pleased that owen coyle is sticking with burnley. It will be better experience him managing a team in the premiership than in scotland!
