Who would you pick at lock for NSW in '12 SOO?

    Egg-fucking-zactly.

    I don't hate Stewart nearly as much as I used to, and while I don't think his game would translate very well to Origin consistently, I reckon he's in the best five or so club level second rowers.

    However, he's a wide-running short option ball-player; he's not a lock. Neither his tight defence nor his tight running - or hell even his long passing/creative game if we want a ball-playing lock - are good enough. If Stewart is going to play, and I wouldn't cry if he did, he should be in competition with Bird, Scott, Watmough, Lewis, Creagh and Tariq Sims for one of the second row spots or the second row bench spot. He should be used exclusively on the edges.

    The more I think of it, the more I am convinced it has to be Fensom.

    All the other options (bar Tolman, because he should be picked as a prop or not at all) are better suited as second rowers.

    I think Fensom fits the bill for lock, he's perfect for all the middle hard yards.
