    If Carney's defence doesn't drastically improve you could make a solid case not to pick him. He's been fucking awful. Sandow awful. It's not that he's getting bumped off it's the disgusting reads he's making.

    The halves is probably the only position where you could forgive terrible defence. NSW desperately need a half who can do something and I think it would be a lot easier to find some players to cover for Carney's defensive deficiencies than to find another half who is as well-rounded and dangerous.

    At this stage I think NSW would take Chris Sandow over Pearce or Maloney if Sandow was going to offer genuine creativity, a solid kicking game and provide some structure and composure to the attack.
