Well, I didn't watch the whole game; was at poker night with some mates. When the Cows started their resurgence I left the poker match to get a better look. Then everyone else left the poker too. What a bloody comeback. And when Thurston went through every bloke in the room went up. I never got out of my seat. It looked forward to me at the time, I saw Hayne put the whistle to his mouth and then I'm like wtf? He's going upstairs? I've now watched the replay a dozen times. It's a knock on afaic. Ball is propelled forward off the hands. Unfortunate, but the Cows were in no way robbed, as I tried to tell every bloke in the room who wanted blood. The Cows lost this game in previous sets by kicking badly, and early. And by shifting to Morgan who'd had the droppsies all night instead of just playing straight and taking the field goal. Penrith managed to get away with the mistake of waiting too long. The Cows weren't so lucky. Great game. And fucking lol at the Chooks almost blowing a 30-0 lead. Hope the Bunnies murder them.
The no call on SKD's obstruction was a joke I think. Haven't watched the replay but that seemed very blatant at the time. On the other hand, the pass for one of the Cows' tries was a mile forward. There were so many bad calls that I saw and as I say, I only watched about half the match.
Hit the wrong button tbh. Hit edit instead of quote and due to my intoxicated state, didn't realise. To answer your question though, because I always seem to create the match threads, Cribb seems to have given me limited mod powers. I didn't modify his post at all btw. If I had, I likely would have called you a cunt
Was working at the Swannies game and pretty much everyone were crowded around TVs watching this match.
Honestly the most ridiculous game I've ever been to, will wake up in the morning & check the score to confirm we've actually won just to make sure I'm not in a state of delirium.
Watching our defence in that 10-15 minute period either side of half time I dare you to tell me with a straight face we haven't missed Napa.
Some bad calls both ways. I thought it was a knock on- so don't think that was bad. But the refs are going to cost someone the Grand final the way they are going.
I'd also like to know how on earth SBW was allowed to play the ball after being held up/short. If they're going to give him (and every other ball carrier) an eternity to try and force the ball, then they have to take it off him when he bobbles it around whilst it's touching opposition players. I mean that's a fucking joke. Any other time the held call would've come three minutes before his second attempt to get it down. Why do defenders have to hang on for an eternity to stop a try yet in the general field of play get told to get off almost instantly - soon as the bloke hits the ground.
Based on the replays I saw it either had to be strip, 6 again or knock on, turnover. How he ended up just being allowed to play the ball like nothing had happened I'll never know. Was a poor performance by the refs across the board last night.
It was just a crazy game to from start to finish, with a 30pt blow out and then a 30pt comeback but overall, the refs weren't any better or worse than usual IMO.
