Yeah, only Rabs considered that it was forward, and then basically back-tracked. Post game Lockyer said it was probably forward, but Johns kept telling him 'no way'.
Complete idiots. Brandy and Warren Smith dismissed it straight away. If mini didn't run into Hayne it never would've went upstairs.
Why the fuck were the cowboys not awarded a penalty for FKD's fucking blatant shepherd, 20 metres out straight in front with 9 minutes to go? What a joke.
Yeah that was a complete joke. It was purely because it was in the "its too late in the game to give a penalty" zone
Didn't Morgan do one just a few sets prior? Not as major as it was one of those ones where you run behind your player and no defenders are too close.
followed by SBW dorpping the ball cold, and getting a penalty. Then a a blatant forward pass. Then SBW keeping the ball after his no try despite knocking it on and then losing it by the end of it.
Nothing tops that lack of a call for the penalty on SKD. The two most herpity fucking derpity cunts in the NRL run through the most blatant obstruction in 2014 and it's not called just because of the time and situation. What a joke.
But if they can't tell if a pass is forward, how do they tell something it knocked on or back? I agree with Gemmell, but I think they should be able to rule on forward passes still.
The rules are just a bit silly like that. They're allowed to rule on whether something was a knock on/knock back but not whether it was a forward pass or not.
It's the same with SOO. So many things get let go because it is 'origin', which is shit IMO. Either there is a rule or their isn't, you can't pick and chose when it exists.
Was more having a go at the system. I think the cowboys were hard done by, I don't think it was a knock on. But, I agree that the video ref couldn't overturn the decision.
I guess that makes up for the shit Maloney obstruction ruling we copped last week which one could argue helped put us in the situation of actually playing this week in the first place.
Anyway while I blame Mini for the comeback, I also blame Robbo for the extremely poor interchanging that he did. As soon as the 30th minute mark hit it was 30-0 and he took off Guerra, Friend, Moa and JWH and by the time they got back it was 30-24. Absolute disastrous decision to take all 4 of those off at once. Even as soon as Moa came on first you could see a huge difference and tightening up in the middle. You can't take 4 of your best players off at once. At least next week we will have Napa to start and Moa on the bench so it won't be as much of an issue.
A dreadful game to watch as a Chooks fan, I'm guessing likewise for a Cows fan too. Chooks should never have squandered a 30 point lead and Cows should never have allowed Chooks to get out to a 30 point lead. Fucking Mini, I'll forgive him for one dropped bomb, just 1 error after about a dozen high balls sent his way is excusable...but to firstly knock it back infield when it wasn't a 40/20 and then throw a Cam Smith like pass in inexcusable.
So we copped a correct ruling last week which went against us and an incorrect ruling this week which went for us. Still evens out.
