Gunnest news. Is that BST or NZ time?

  2. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

NZT of course. 11 hours is the time difference now, so 7pm NZT will be 8am BST I believe.

Haha those odds don't give me a great deal of confidence! I think the better betting option is the first Cwab to knock out an opposition player.

  4. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

Hurricane the man with the track record there.

  5. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

The Crabs to muster a draw despite doing enough to win imo.

Apologies for the late start. A bit late leaving work and I feel like shit.

Anyway, the weather's dry. Cwabs to get raped.

    Starting now.

    Crabs for an upset

    Lets go Crabs

Ivan Ryabovol takes the ball into contact. He's smothered by Marcuss Deane and Heath Davis is there in support. The whistle blows. The ref has penalised Ryabovol for not releasing the ball - though I don't think he had a chance there.

Blunder with the penalty. Line out only 5m from the Crabs try line. Great, pin-point kick there.

Ritchie, the makeshift Hooker with his first throw in Seasonal Rugby. And it's a shocker. That's not straight. I've seen straighter performances by Kenneth Williams. That's a good chance gone begging there.

Rob Cribb tackled by Double Dong. Good hit. The forwards pile in, but that's blatantly in from the side by Burger there. The ball comes out and the Spartans deliberately go nowhere to earn the penalty.

    Penalty to the Spartans.

Not the best kick from Blunder. Line out 20m from the Crabs try line.

Better throw by Ritchie, and he finds Callum Laing. The Spartans quickly set up the rolling maul and they get a rumble on.

The maul's brought down eventually, but only 8m short of the line. A ruck forms and the ball comes out to Cribb. Cribb to Luffman. Luffman to Alessi. Alessi puts through the grubber, and that's perfectly weighted for the onrunning Luffman. He dives on the ball and gets downward pressure!! TRY!

    Luffman converts

    Spartans 7 - 0 Crabs

Scrum to the Crabs 5m into Spartans territory. The ball goes in, but the Spartans front row have hit them hard. The Crabs under immense pressure and the scrum collapses. The ref says that was deliberate.

    Penalty to the Spartans.

Blunder kicks up field and finds touch only 5m into Crabs territory.

Ritchie with the lineout ball taken easily by John McGrath.

The ball is spread along the back line here, and the Spartans have momentum. 10m gained already. The ball comes to Blunder who boots a massive cross-field ball for Schaw on the far flank. Brilliant kick by Blunder and Schaw runs right onto this.

Schaw can't make any further territory though as Phlegm comes over to cover. Schaw passes to Luffman as he's tackled but he only makes a couple of yards. 10m from the Crabs try line now.

Luffman to Chung, back out to Schaw. Schaw nailed by Brumby. Well timed tackle.

The forwards from both sides pile in. The Crabs doing a good job of slowing the ball down here, but can't turn it over.

The ball comes out on the Spartans side, and Deane attempts the pick and go...

...3m gained, and Deane is brought down. 7m from the line now and they try the pick and go again. This time Laing with the ball. Tackled well by Volt Man, but Davis ensures the ball comes out on the Spartans side. Cribb has somehow become wedged in the ruck too, so it looks a perfect opportunity for another pick and go.

But what's this, Luffman rushes in and throws a big pass to Alessi. Alessi with quick hands to Orr. Massive overlap here. Orr draws in the last man and unselfishly passes to Schaw who dots down in the corner.

    Great move by the Spartans.

Tough conversion from out wide, but Luffman's a quality kicker, and curls this round easily.

    Spartans 14 - 0 Crabs

Yikes...fingers crossed this doesn't get too embarrassing.

    This is laugh-out-loud funny.

Spartans cock up a perfect opportunity for a try. Only 1m short of the line, following a great flowing move, Al Farnsworth passes to Callum Laing.

Of all people, rookie Winger Chris Raftery - who has done nothing in his career to date wraps up Laing's legs in a perfectly timed tackle and as Laing falls, he drops the ball forward.

Phlegm clears up the ball and hoofs it downfield. Massive kick, the ref calls advantage over.

Great play from Raftery there. Not a moment that Laing will care to remember.

    Raftery!!!!!

    Haha, gun.

...Phlegm's kick fails to dribble into touch and is cleaned up by Alessi who's tracked back well.

There's no support around him, so Alessi goes for a run. He beats Hurricane's attempted tackle and his too much pace for Dong. He's gained 16m. Great run this.

Phifteenplus attempts to come in for a tackle, but Alessi easily facepalms him away. Finally, the run comes to an end as Brumby clatters him to the floor.

However, the Spartans back line are now reformed and in full support. Cribb throws the ball along the backs and there's another overlap for Schaw to exploit on the far flank.

That man Raftery is again the last line of defence, but there's nothing he can do to stop the try this time as Schaw sells him a dummy. Raftery can't cover both Schaw and Orr and Schaw dots down in the corner again.

Luffman's nailed one from here already tonight, and has no problems with this opportunity either.

    Spartans 21 - 0 Crabs

Crabs aggro tab to be turned up hard. Would like some filthy high tackles and punch ups to keep us in the game.

    Strongly AWTA.
