Injuries: Eddie Morris out for 1 week (in match injury) Andrew James out for 1 week (training injury)
Yeah, so turns out Jabba was right; just about the wrong winger. My substitution orders were so targeted at Escath that it wouldn't have been fair for me to sub off Herd for Hutchinson instead. Dammit. Alessi and Spark likely to be dumped too. O'Driscoll wasn't worth playing either. A few changes for Game 2, but nothing too severe as we'll have home advantage next time.
Morris being injured will be interesting for game two. Callum lost a couple lineouts from what I saw so a full time move could be costly.
How the hell did I end up with the best performance of the locks? Thought I was gonna be even more screwed over than normal when Eddie was subbed, although I think we got a few straighter lineouts out of it .
Morris being injured is basically the worst injury we could possibly get. It's either play me there again or but an inept prop there.
Hedger's a decent option. And Callum playing there could well work considering we have Chung to play back row.
Has to be you. In the same way that losing Morris was the worst possible place to lose someone, backrow is probably the best with 3 genuine contenders for a starting spot waiting in the wings. Hell Chung doesn't even make our bench! You --> 2 Manera --> 6 Chung --> Bench Not as good as having Morris but not much harm to the backrow, and certainly gives us a very mobile pack
