Dogs look to be utterly lacking and terribly slow in attack. Forward pack seems a bit too slow with Hickey, Ryan etc at times as well. Losing Hodgson is huge for them. Could be in for some strife the next few weeks depending on who they play.
Losing Eastwood was massive for them, a backrow of Ryan, Stagg & Warbuton is just too much of the same imo. They really don't have any strong ball runners or good hole runners. And no Yilen Gordon does not count because he's nothing more than an average impact player.
Yeah, they really missed Ennis. Kimmorley's obviously their organiser but all their energy and tempo comes from Ennis and Blake Green isn't capable of doing anything to a standard above mediocre. I thought Barba looked a lot more likely than Roberts though.. they're pretty similar players at this point but Barba has a touch of class.
Ben Barba's our future fullback according to Moore, so I can't see Barba replacing Roberts anytime soon in the starting line-up. Last nights game though, shocker. I can't see us improving too much either over the coming weeks with Hodgson out, that's a massive loss for us. Anyone notice Andrew Ryan last night? Because I sure as hell didn't, I don't think I heard his name called once.
