Roosters up 6-0, 17 mins in.

Great ball to put Cordner through untouched.

Looks like they are in again, Tupou collects a Maloney kick over Utai and scores in the corner.

    Yup try.

Roosters looking pretty good. Business as usual for the Tigers though, loose as fuck.

Maloney's kick is slightly wide, Roosters up 10-0.

Is the surname "Tupou" like Smith or Chang or some shit for fobs? So many cunts have come through the NRL with it.

Awesome take by RTS above his head in goal.

    Roosters well in control.

All I have to say is fuck Jennings looked good and fuck FPN off please

Maloney actually seemed to fit in quite well. If Pearce and Maloney actually works out... fuck they'll be good

Yeah he looked really good. I'm looking forward to seeing how he works with SBW.

Did he or Pearce throw that pass to set up the first try?

  9. Raide KN Rask

    Pearce.

If there's one thing Maloney will do it's feast off SBW's second phase. He had an awesome combination with Mateo doing that. Hopefully the coach isn't dumb enough to put them on opposite sides of the ruck.

    Pearce threw that pass.

Yeah he definitely won't. We already have seen what Pearce, Aubusson and SKD can do on one side it only makes sense to have Maloney SBW and jennings on the other

Also the biggest thing I'm excited about is the fact that with the likes of jennings and sheck, for the first time in forever we actually have speed at the back.

Cordner destined for middle third work all year then?

Up until now I've always considered him to be equally adept at both, but his body shape seems to have changed a bit in the off-season; I reckon he'd be a more effective fringe runner now. Aubusson's turd 2012 may cost him a start spot even though it was mainly in the centres.

Yeah that will by far be the toughest decision to make. Either way I'd say cordner will stick to the fringe running 2nd row position as you're right he is developing a good knack for it but I'd say he or maubs will just start on the bench and rotate. I was sort of hoping he was going to be moulded in the off season to a Myles work horse type player we desperately need at lock but I guess the coach sees it more beneficial to have a rotation between the two and SBW and Guerra.

Would be better than FPN at lock.

Robinson has said he wont mess around with SBW too much considering he's only going to have a couple weeks of training before the season kicks off. He'll play on the right fringe.

Cordner looked really good on that left fringe tonight, I reckon he'll stay there. Means Maubs & Guerra will fight it out for the final bench spot.

    Moa was impressive IMO.

Was running strong at the start, I didn't really watch the middle/end though so not sure how he went there.

Apparently he played quite well in the first trial too.

Just watched a replay of the game and have to say I thought FPN was very good, thought this at the ground too but just assumed I had missed him making a few errors and give away penalties.

LOD was very disappointing, got stopped in his tracks every time he hit the ball up. Still one prop short for round 1.

fpn could just play prop IMO.
