    We do support sides, but even if we didn't that wouldn't make our viewing pointless. Some people just enjoy watching the game for their favourite players. Or because of the spectacle.

    I'm sorry you have trouble grasping the notion that some people care more about Origin than a club comp.

    lol, do you even know why this thread was created? It was created in order to see if there had been a paradigm shift since 2007 at which time there were more QLDer's favouring an Origin series to a premiership. I.e. this was about comparing the difference in passion for SOO between QLDers and NSWmen.

    I don't find it at all hard to grasp a person preferring a premiership to an Origin series. In the thread whose discussion precipitated this thread, I stated that in the event of a poll it's probably be me, EWS and Ged in the Origin column and that's about it. So I'm well aware of the prevailing view and completely understand why. They play every week. People grow up with their teams. It's much harder to win a comp. And a variety of other reasons.
