I agree with a lot of this, if Chris decided to take Keane out for a LB and play 4-4-2, it'll be a lot closer in my opinion

On an attacking front, I think it'll be hard to find man for man a stronger team but it's just not balanced IMO

Eddie might not have the strongest defence but I think it's more balanced and I much prefer a balanced team than a team full of individuals

Will do this after round B so it'll be quicker, can't do it yet because it'll be an odd round

 

Yeah, if Chris had a left back instead of Yorke/Keane, with a 4 -4 -2 diamond I'd have probably gone for him.

Both defenses aren't great man to man tbh. Actually Eddie's is better with 2 fullbacks and then 2 DM's along with Distin and Adams.

 

Finnan was an excellent RB to be fair, consistently good for many years for Liverpool

I think that's a solid enough pick

 

Yeah, he was good for Fulham too and has a long consistent Prem Career behind him.

Also Distin and Adams would work well together, i feel. Adams is Adams and Distin has been a pretty solid prem player who will give pace to the combo.

That leaves Silvestre, and atleast he is playing at his best position at left back, where he was pretty good going forward actually but prone to errors defensively. Will provide width when Garcia cuts in and he has 2 DM's to cover in for him.

 

Maybe not, but only Neville and Dixon was picked before in the RB position, might have panicked to get a good RB in with so many teams not having one and he was very good for Liverpool

In hindsight he could've waited and pick up someone like Carr is round 12, which you did, which was an excellent pick

But saying that, in hindsight I wouldn't have picked Overmars, waited till round 12 to pick up Duff and pick a better player in another position

 

Eddie was always going to get my pick just for Luis

 

He is a weak link in his team, tbf.

 

On the LW, yeah I can understand that, he did play a lot of games for us either on the LW or RW but I firmly believe his best position was AM. Would gladly swap Gudjohnson for him...

Luis was so inconsistent but I loved him as a player. He was such a vital player for us winning the Champions League (I know this is a Prem draft, but still, what a guy)

Silvestre was good as a LB for acouple of seasons at United. Hopeless as a CB though.

 

Had him on my list but wasn't really going to select him

A bit like Barry and Lescott as well

 

SO many better players than Downing

 

Noticed that VDV wasn't picked either...

Basically played the same amounts of games as someone like Silva
