    It will be the same thing when Lodge was signed. People will be mad for a few weeks, then it won't be mentioned too much and he will get boos from the crowd and plenty of negative social media comments.

    Disagree, they're different. Lodge and the Broncos didn't handle it well at all but they at least still presented the narative that he was remorseful and is trying to be a better man having apologised for his mistakes etc etc.

    Folau has since doubled down on his comments and stands by them having never offered up an apology or shown any remorse.

    100% Lodge is the worse human being in this comparison but if you look at the optics of it there are enough people willing to give him a 2nd chance since he has apologised.

    In this instance scale is important too, Lodge is a no-name to anyone who doesn't follow League. Folau is a house hold name.
