    I seriously doubt the figure is accurate. Possibly accurate with TPA's for mine.

    Considering Dogs have signed Foran and Woods, I reckon they were only offering Reynolds 400 or so and Tigers have probably signed him for 750.

    Aside from Cameron Smith I agree with Gus that there isn't a million dollar player out there. And that's only cause Smith could play til 38 and still be the best hooker in the game. Thurston ain't worth a mil a season. The figures around Moses, Reynolds etc. are absurd.

    Clubs are spending way too much without knowing what the cap will be.

    The 10 day cooling off period is ridiculous.

    The club who has signed the player and the player themselves can't say shit but everyone else involved like the club losing the player are allowed to announce it. Makes no sense.

    We end up with a situation like with Woods and Tedesco where the media have announced it 6 days ago but you've got Des Hasler coming out and denying it and James Tedesco coming out and denying it when the likely outcome seems to be that the signings will be announced early next week. Or in the case of Matulino and Moses the club losing the player announces it first.

    I'm not even sure what not allowing clubs to announce it achieves? It will always get leaked one way or another eventually....

    I think it's pretty rich of Tallis to criticise Woods for not "battling on" and so forth with a terrible club that never makes the finals. There is valid criticism of Woods but from Tallis, on this specific issue; a strong yearning to play at a successful club? I mean ffs cunt, it's easy for you to say that shit isn't it - In a 13 year career your team missed the finals, once. After playing in a GF with St. George, you jumped ship during the SL war to Brisbane who played in (and won) 3 grand finals. 4 GF's in one career is pretty uncommon.

    Fair enough he sat out a year, but Tallis one of the last people who should talk about sticking with a perennial losing club. How the fuck would he know what that's like?

    I do feel for the bloke, he had his life flipped on its head by some low life bitch about a year ago and even though the case was dismissed and any half wit could tell he was innocent it has followed him around.

    But any promise he showed as a winger last year has quickly disappeared. He still needs to go unless he's willing to re-sign on a 18-25 player contract.
