    Terry = cheating

Im not just saying this because he is chelsea.
When he slides in need the area when theres a shooting opertunity he does it with both hands up in the air. There have been numerous times where the ball has hit his hand because of this and nothing is EVER GIVEN.
Id hate this even if it was a United player because im one of the less overly biased fans out there. Most chelsea fans will somehow miss when terry does it.
I find terrys positioning good (not great) he doesnt make many mistakes, but his actually tackling technique isnt great.
His captincy skills can't be argued against though, hes done really well with chelsea.

I disagree with that. I know we had a bid accepted on deadline day and we had talked with him, but he was never going to come to City and only wanted United. Levy certainly has us to thank for that ****off big wad of cash they got for him though, as United would never have paid it if we didn't throw ourselves into it in a rush for a marquee name.

Not trying to sound like a ****, but I'd take Robinho 100 times out of 100 in a straight choice between him and Berba (and I think Berba's an excellent player), so I think we did alright out of it anyway.

It makes the season a bit tougher for LFC imo. (Of course unless they sign a big one)

Yeah right. Ball hit his hand(Agreed on that) and who did not blow the whistle and stop the play? I think that was the referee. Anyway if you wish to see it in same perspective, then well Half of Barca team should be named cheaters for Overbo's decision in that UEFA CL Semis.

    AWTA :D

Feel like i've had this discussion before but :pAdebayor suffered from having a rubbish midfeild. With Cesc injured alot last year, he was relying on Nasri to be his provider. And TBF, Nasri is a scorer rather than a provider. I'm not saying one or the other is shit, but he needs good ball, and he wasn't getting in from a mainly goal-scoring midfeild.Adebayor should be a good fit at Man City for a season or 2, then be goneskies.I think the world can confirm that Man Utd fans are ****s

Van Der Sar out for 2 months.

  7. Riddy JH Ridd

utter tripe! terry dives in to block the ball, he tries to keep his hands out of the way of the ball, occasionally it hits his hands, but he doesnt tell the ref not to give a pen.. its the refs decision.. so to accuse terry of cheating because of that is ridiculous...

  8. Eds E Ames

He tries to keep his hands out of the way? When was the last time you watched him make a slide tackle?

  9. Baxter MJ Deane

Dire Matt's contribution made me fpalm.
Just have a look at chance : goal ratio, if what you are saying is correct he wouldn't have many chances but he'd take the ones he was presented with.
If what I am saying is correct his chance : goal ratio will look like it actually does. A bucket load of chances and a handful of goals.

  10. Riddy JH Ridd

so where do you think he should put his hands then?! he has to put them somewhere and in the air away from his body is probs the safest position!

  11. Prince SHOES DP Smith

Won't matter. A blow up doll could keep for United, Vidic and Ferdinand are too damn good.

  12. Riddy JH Ridd

    AWTA!

  13. jeyshiva JS Shiva

    why?

  14. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Broke his hand saving a penalty against Bayern

  15. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

    Completely agree.

With the bolded I think now Robinho would fit into United alot better than Berbatov. With the loss of Ronaldo we could have gone with Rooney up top with RObinho left and One of the of the other wingers right. However I think Berbatov will shine this season.

  16. Verigoat S Verigotta

Dont know if id agree with taking him 100 times out of 100. Robihno doesnt seem like the sort of player that would get back. berbatov has shown he can do that and has defended when needs be (although a lot of people seem to miss it when he does).
The way we are going to play this season will have berbatov as the up top stricker, I dont think robihno can play that role which is what we need, hes more of a wing stricker

Not bothered bout Van der Sar, I think Fosters gonna be the best keeper in the prem in a few years. If you want to talk about useless people standing behind a defence you should look to cech as well. Technical ability I wouldnt say hes any better than anyone else, I rate Reina + James much higher over the both of them.

And to do with Terry, hes cheating because he keeps doing it and knows the refs won't call him on it. Have you noticed every other CB can slide tackle without the ball hitting their arms

  17. Speirz DG Speirs

Balance wise, the best way to go into a slide tackle is one arm raised straight up and the other bent on the ground. There's no real issue there. If he did it differently all over the park compared to in the box you might have a gripe, but realistically it's just nitpicking.

  18. Prince SHOES DP Smith

Terry's main problems are his increasing lethargy in turning when a quick man beats him and his poor makeup challenges to compensate when this occurs. He's still a great leader and marshals a defense better than almost anyone in the world (arguably Wio is better), but his back is plaguing him and I think he only has a few seasons left at the serious top level. He will go on well past that but he won't be world class for much longer, he's barely holding onto that status now, and mainly through his experience more than his skill.

  19. Speirz DG Speirs

Yeah, he's following down Cannavaro's path IMO. To me it looks as though he knows what he should be doing but he can't get his body to do it anymore.

In saying that though, individually Vidic and Ferdinand have the same problems, particularly one-on-one, but as a partnership they're far and away the best in the world, let alone just the Prem.

  20. Prince SHOES DP Smith

Wio's still quick enough on the turn for most attackers in the Prem, Vidic is slow but so powerful that it's hard to beat him anyway.
