Settle down princess. I think Tate was in the top 3 players on the field. You had a cry and I didn't even bad mouth him. FMD. I can't believe you call other people bias. **** you under-rate Hodges.
You diminished his effort with that load of crap about Sau. Most of Tate's tackles were not even on Sau, ffs. You're the last person who should talk about bias. You had the gall to accuse me of using an elaborate tactic of praising Lockyer so as to eventually end up talking about Thurston, which was of course, nonsense. But gee, I wonder why you're diminishing Tate's performances. Your bias for Hodges is revolting.
Those last 4 all have big question marks over them as far as front rowers go. Costigan is seriously just average, give Mannah a couple of months starting and he'll already be twice the player Costigan is. The top 2 are better than anything NSW can offer but after that it's seriously slim pickings, reckon NSW have the better depth for the future.
As opposed to the big question marks over every single player Julian listed, apart from TLL (and he's only done it as a bench player too). All the QLD players I listed have Origin experience. Costigan is clearly underrated; his form as a front rower, whilst ephemeral, has been extremely good. I don't think I need to remind you of the trouble NSWmen, especially your props, seem to have when it comes to transferring their club form to SOO. Myles has played well in the front row for QLD before. Hannant may not have been great so far, but he's just as promising as anyone NSW have. Scott and Shillington ensure QLD's depth is currently better and probably will be for the next 5 years. When one of those NSWmen plays a decent Origin game as a starting prop, do let me know. You seriously better hope Kennedy chooses to be a Blue. We get him, and you blokes are categorically ****ed.
I wasn't questioning their quality although I don't think Taylor and Costigan are any better than the majority of Julian's list, just their ability to play front row at any level. Myles has lost too much weight to be a front rower imo anymore, played a couple of games there at club level but got dominated same with his international performances there. Ross has been out for a couple of years now, Taylor's best performances have all been in the backrow and Costigan like you mentioned has only proven himself over a very short period of time and that was in the most dominant side in the comp. I think our depth is better but in terms of quality Shillo and Scott leave us for dead. TLL has proven himself but not much more if at all than Hannat has.
Coonstigan is lucky he's from QLD, playing alongside so many great players. He would have been seen just as shit as Brett White or Josh Perry if he was playing for NSW, if not worse.
So me saying something about Tate is because of Hodges? When I bag Coonstigan is it because I think Gillett should be there instead? FMD
I was all for a Lockyer, Carney halves combo until thise game. Carney's defence was just aweful though and he didn't really show much in attack.
