    Gervinho won't be sold.

A new combative midfielder is an absolute must, but I doubt Arsenal will sign anyone else.

Whether or not a striker comes in probably depends on what happens with Walcott.

  2. Verigoat S Verigotta

Maybe you should name them. Not for me to argue against. I coul just really do with a laugh

  3. Skippos SM Morgan

    Wilshere
    Cazorla

who else? seriously. nani seems to fit as the third best

  4. Alex AJ O'Driscoll

Nani > Wilshere at this stage IMO.

I'd love to have him, sick of having retards on the wings and cunts like Ramsey filling in there.

Vermaelen, Sagna and Chesney. All far more valuable to Arsenal than Nani would be. Not to mention Arteta, Cazorla and Wilshere.

  6. Skippos SM Morgan

Nah not buying that shit. Vermaelen being valuable is because every other option is shit. doesn't glorify him as a player.

Nani as an individual, no other things considered > him.

When Cazorla signed, you'd probably have made the same argument. He's shown he's well more important as class shines through.

If you replaced Vermaelen with a 'meh' CB, instead of a shit cunt - Nani'd be a far more important lad than him.

Verm has had a terrible year, Ches really I no where near as good as arse fans make out. Sagna is the only one on the list that's debatable and that's just down to personal preference, not ability. Sags gone in jan anyway

  8. Skippos SM Morgan

Yeah Chesney was a stupid one. He's really not that good right now.

Sagna is a fair call imo, but I reckon Nani would still be the third best in that team. This is not really a dig at Arsenal, they've had so many of their best players leave. Changes will happen though and I expect them to be very active during this transfer window.

Nani isn't that good, either. Burst of pace, two step-overs, shot into the top tier.

  11. Riddy JH Ridd

arsenal have so much deadwood in their team.

On his day he can change a game and provide that X Factor which some of the current Arsenal players lack. He's not amazing of course, but I reckon he'll add some value to Arsenal's performances.

Well I'd take our starting midfield three ahead of him, so that's Wilshere, Cazorla and Arteta. I'd also have Sagna definitely ahead. Then I'd have him on a par with our 3 CBs and arguably Giroud. So he's somewhere 5th-10th on my list.
I know the CBs will draw mass lols from Veri but that's because he hates Koscielny and absolutely nobody rates Mertesacker. However, Mertesacker has had an absolutely storming year and besides Koscielny's immediate return from injury he's began looking more and more like his old self the more he plays. Vermaelen has probably been the worst of the three, how much of that is due to being played at LB for so long? Unsure.

Interesting to see how Arsenal fans view their team. I'll admit I don't rate some of those guys as highly as you seem to.

I reckon you're definitely a bit short on the wings and Walcott seems to be on his way out. Signing Nani might be a worthwhile move.

Which other positions do you reckon need strengthening?

  15. Baxter MJ Deane

It seems odd because we always seem to be so frail at the back and despite that I'm listing 4 defenders in my top 6/7 players. Individually they've all been excellent at various points of the season. It's a proven fact that Arsenal make more individual errors resulting in goals than any other team in the league. It's why it's possible for us to have good defenders but a bad defence, if you see what I'm saying.

I'm of the opposite opinion of Sledger, despite me not rating Nani all that highly (don't get me wrong, he's good) I think he'd add a lot more to the squad than say... Koscielny. Despite me thinking the latter is actually a better player. Nani would give us something different.

Wenger's comments after last night's game actually seemed really positive and I genuinely hope and believe we'll get the Walcott situation sorted out. Like I did with RVP - which I was right about, he wanted to stay in the end. The only way Walcott will go is if Wenger wants him to IMO and I think that the extra opportunities he's been given upfront in recent times show that isn't the case. If you divide Walcott's career into two halves his improvement has been remarkable.

As for January, I'd love a striker, ball winning midfielder and defensive cover - preferably a left back.

Doesn't a players proneness to errors make him a weaker player? :/

  17. Baxter MJ Deane

Yeah, not sure where I said otherwise tbf. It's not the players I listed making the mistakes but the fact we concede so often looks bad on them.

  18. Skippos SM Morgan

    Individually.. excellent
    defense is poor.

doesn't make sense. error prone players especially at the back aren't excellent

  19. Baxter MJ Deane

Try reading it all again and then point out where I've said that any of the players I've labelled excellent are prone to error. Then point out the bit where I explicitly said it is NOT the players I listed making such errors.

    Exactly.
