    Was actually banned a few years before that I think. I saw the vid recently of Inglis absolutely destroying Dean Young with a shoulder charge in 2012 I think? And I believe that was the beginning of the end of the shoulder charge.

    Shoulder charge to the head/neck area can obviously be pretty dangerous. The fact that these tackles were already banned under the head high contact rule didn't seem to stop administrators wanting to make sure they were extra extra banned.

    The strangest thing about the whole shoulder charge carry on was how much Simon Dwyers shot on JWH was gushed over back in 2010 finals series. Was a shoulder charge straight to the head and was called hit of the century etc etc etc.

    The positional awards are always whacked.

    Everyone has been so focused on BJ getting it over Latrell that they've kind of overlooked just how poor of a selection Josh Jackson was as well.

    Was this the first year the team was decided based upon their Dally M rankings? Or has it always been like that? It makes no sense, because as soon as you're the 4th best player in your team (or on the night) you don't get points and so it rewards shitter cunts in bad teams

    I really hope the NRL take it back to 3-4pm next year. 7.20 is absurd. Every cunt is well past half-cut by then and the kids are ready for bed by half time.

    Night footy is for Origin and semis. GF should be in the day when it’s dry, fast and a bit warmer.

    Yeah people like Leilua will dominate if that's the case. Will have 4 great games a year and like 12 shockers, but 10 points in those 4 games probably gets him enough points at centre.
