Props to the Roosters the other night giving JT the guard of honour. Was a decent game in the end but Cows were awful first half again excluding Taumalolo who finally was allowed to attack the edges and offload as well. Just using him as a middle third battering ram imo doesn't really get the most out of him. Clifford was not bad either. A combo of Clifford/Morgan I like the idea of for 2019.

It is. He's looked better in attack lately but still pretty bad especially defending the line. Green should not be starting him. He was far better impact off the bench.

Penrith trying to get Ivan Cleary back. WHy the fuck would you want to coach with Gould above you? All the same pressure, Gould absorbs all the praise if something goes right, gets rid of you if something goes wrong, of course it's never his fault or anything like that, he's got his 5 6 7 8 9 year plan.

I'd let Ivan go if they take Reynolds contract and pay RCG, DWZ and Fisher-Harris to play for us for the remainder of their contracts.

    Otherwise hardball.

Tigers should say they will only allow Cleary to leave is if Panthers release Cleary to them.

  8. Magic AJ Parker

Sounds like ivan said yes to the deal last week.

Just a matter of Penrith coming to an arrangement with Wests.

Cleary will never live it down.

Should never have got rid of Cleary in the first place. Goulds reasoning was pathetic 'he just looked tired and warn out' or something to that effect at the end of 2015. Of course he did you fucking crusty old axolotl, he'd had one of the worst runs with injury I'd ever seen and still got the team up to 11th after a prelim the year previous. They'd just got to the end of that testing year, everyone was entitled to be a bit warn out. I've taken significantly less interest in the Panthers since they dropped the axe on him for that.

It seems they've fucked up a bit with Griffin too, 'he can't take the club to a premiership', that's fine, but he's got the team one win off first and its 4 weeks until the finals. Nathan Cleary can't negotiate his next contract until November, surely, SURELY if you decide you want to flick him you wait until after Penriths 2018 season has come to a close to give him the tap. A roster like Penriths pulling wins out of their arse in the last 10 minutes of games isn't a very sustainable way of going about a whole season, but its the type of footy that the domiannt clubs wouldn't want to come up against in September. I think you especially give him the rest of this year when less than 12 months ago they backed Griffin over Moylan, who with Cleary was looking like setting the Panthers up with a world class halves pairing for years to come.

I honestly think its time for Gould to either put his hand up and coach, or fuck right off. I think bringing Cleary back while still having Gould involved at all has the potential to explode in a massively negative way.

Tbf, supposedly one of the major issues that Gould had with Cleary was his over-enthusiasm I guess you'd call it. From what I've heard/read, Cleary was really keen to get his best team on the park and it resulted in bringing players back from injury too early and it had a major detriment on the team. Whether anyone actually stepped in and told Cleary to just settle down and give the season away or whether he thought he was playing for his contract and was trying to throw everything into the season I'm not sure.

The timing was shit more than anything. I fail to see why sack the guy with the team in 5th nearing finals. At least do it after their season ends however it does.

2-3 first grade players and the Panthers paying for Maguire wouldn't be a bad result tbh.

Cowboys pus all year. lol of course they aim up for the rivalry with the Broncs.

That is ridiculous. Roberts clearly touches that into Linnett. What is the fucking point of this bunker? Seriously. Fuck off with your definitive proof horseshit. The on-field referee had absolutely no idea what happened there.

This system is going to cost a team a gf or a prelim one of these days.

Wtf was that from Thurston? Sorry I didn't realise there was only 5 minutes to go in this match.

    Jesus Christ.

  17. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Cohen Hess. Defensively, is just beyond disgraceful. I don't even want him in the QLD side until he fixes it.

Way to go Cowboys. Just throw it away. Hand it to them on a silver platter.

See that is problematic too. Yes, Thurston eventually goes behind Cooper. Nikorima, however, already decided to tackle Cooper well before it was a shepherd.

They still don't have this rule sorted out. Just a lack of feel for the game and trying to implement a black and white rule.

Nfi how Brisbane are even this. 62% possession to Nth QLD and most of the field position.

  20. Paddy P Orr

Cowboys retardation has kept Brisbane in this. lol Thurston's kick to winger on 20 m line a huge brain snap.
