    I cbf. Neither can anyone else apparently. Plenty of people I reckon had something to say about Slater’s drop kick but there was no thread so no one commented. It’s just easier this way. At least we get some more discussion about the games. It’s really up to Cribb.

    Good to see Gus railing against the 7 tackle restart. It’s an awful rule and needs to be scrapped immediately. Anyone still in favour of it for anything other than long range kicks (and even then) has got something wrong with them afaic.

    I think long ranged kicks are one of the worst reasons to give them. I loathe seeing steam struggle to make it out of their own end yet the half sends a missile from his own 30 to see if trickle over the dead ball line on the 10th bounce.

    It's a garbage rule but it should remain for grubbers. First grade halves who can't keep a grubbed in the field of play should be penalised for such filth.

    How is that 70-80m punt not a brilliant fucking kick? I see Todd Carney kick a 40/20 for the Sharks from his own 30, I'm applauding and so are you. How is that any different?

    I think technically it is a penalty but it should not have been given. Boyd was never getting to that ball. It’s a 50/50 imo. Certainly not robbery. lol Lukic thinks every unlucky call is robbery.
