Forget it. I've seen Hoffman throw a cut-out plenty of times. If you haven't, then you obviously didn't watch many games last year. Show me one instance in the first 70 minutes when Hoffman was given the sort of space and time that Hodges was in that one play.

Last year isn't irrelevant. It's extremely relevant. Last year had Lockyer at 5/8th. This year we have Norman. I mean Lockyer retires and all of a sudden Hoffman decides to play with no depth. Yeah, that sounds about right.
Hoffman looked decent in the past because of Lockyer. Never had to do much, just support and return kicks. This year he's been softer than Josh Dugan though, and getting injured more often than Steve Matai.
