he'd deffo have gone. wouldnt have been first choice, but would certainly have been a good squad player and a great expieriance for him
I don't know he'd be 4th choice RB imo so wouldn't go there then there's Rio, Lescott, Cahill, Jones, Terry, King, Jagielka, Shawcross all fighting for the CB role. Not a certainty in the squad at all
ijmo, he'd go ahead of shawcross, jags, king and probably jones. he'd go as 5th choice and also provide cover at RB, as i think walker and richards will go (leaving out johnson, well im hoping anyway)
We'll only take 8 defenders maximum though. Putting in those that must go: Richards, Walker, Cole, Lescott, Cahill, Rio(/Terry just for you). That's two spots left. One will be taken by Baines/Johnson as cover for Cole the other will be omitted or a CB. Smalling > Jones as a defender but by bringing Jones we have another potential midfielder which may work in his favour
hmm yeah fair point, personally id take smalling over lescott (but thats just cause i hate lego head.) we will see. Woy deffo has some tough decisions.
I don't like Lescott but there's no denying he's had a great season, and we need to take form players to the tournement. Plus he's an experienced man now.
The strange irony in Marcuss saying I give irrational hate to Walcott and then does it himself with someone who has actually been a really good player
It's not irrational. He's been good not great, others have been better. The only way he'd make it is if I decided to take him as RB cover ahead of Walker. Which isn't out of the question. IIRC the 8 defenders I said I'd take were: Richards, Walker, Lescott, Jags, Cahill, Rio, Cole, Baines I'm not even hating on him ffs. It's not like I've said "He's useless, all he can do is run around" is it. Jesus.
Jagielka was really good until he picked up his knock. Thought he was excellent with Lescott against Spain.
I guess tbf, I havet seen a lot of him, but I can't see him troubling the likes of Spain, Holland and Germany if we want to be competitive this time.
