  3. Riddy JH Ridd

  4. Baxter MJ Deane

Yeah, but we all know to take your opinion about Walcott with a pinch of salt.

Lennon. He's been absolutely pro this season. It's not a coincidence Spurs' slump has coincided with Lennon's injury imo

  6. Riddy JH Ridd

no way, he hasnt played enough to warrant a place over sturridge imo

  7. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Fuck off. They both go. Its called a squad.

I'd take Lennon over Sturridge on the right wing every day

  8. Riddy JH Ridd

Let it go. Scholes now Becks? What's Shearer doing nowadays? I heard England needs a striker

  12. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

If Scholes agreed to it, I'd take him any day.

    EDIT: No homo

    AWTA tbh.

Don't see how effective a 37 year old will be at the Euros, specially in midfield, unless he's playing very deep alongside a ball winning midfielder. And especially after having played so many games since Christmas.

And Beckham would just be a joke. Playing in the MLS, while not a bad league, no where near good enough to be good preparation for the Euros.

England would be far better just moving on from those 2, it's a shame Wilshere is injured for England given it would be good experience from him. But knowing England they'd pick Barry ahead of a fit Wilshere.

EDIT: Also when was the last time someone 35+ was a starting member of a team that won a major championship internationally [Euro's / WC]? Some cunt with more time to research imo

So someone like Scott Parker you mean?

Tbf, Beckhams presence would be a huge influence on the players IMO.

Italy may have done it with old players? Not sure though.

I think you have to take it on a case by case basis. Scholes has ripped up the EPL lately. 2 man of the match performances in 2 weeks. And it's not like we're brimming with fit midfield talent atm. Cleverly hasn't played enough games. Henderson's a hack.

Yeh well England will be playing with a Deep lying midfielder alongside Parker imo

    Yeah. Not Barry though.

But I still think England would be far better served moving on, given their chances of a win at the Euros are very slim, I'd use the tournament to give younger players some big international tournament experience, whether the media will let it happen is another question all together.

Had a look at Italy, oldest 'major' players were Materazzi [32], Cannavaro [32]. Will actually look a bit for myself now to see.

    Yeh I agree with this...

Except they're all injured/have just come back from injury/not good enough

I just don't see a 37 year old having the legs to a major role in something like the Euros to be honest. 3 games in 8 days against top class opposition? Not convinced tbh.

No doubting how good Scholes has been in the EPL though.

Yeh I wouldn't play him every group game. Maybe start him against France, and then in the knock out stages.

Carrick easily good enough to play the others.
